Anas Sarwar, last night in the CH4 leader’s debate, was exposed by Malcolm Offord of trying to concoct a plan for his Labour party & Offord’s Reform UK to work together “to remove the SNP”.
(BTW Paisley Town Hall ,that was where Offord said Sarwar had “bounced up to him saying we need to work together” and was where the BBC’s Debate night did their leaders debate).
Now Offord’s revelation does seem credible , especially considering Sarwar once declared in 2025 , that he would be prepared “to work with Reform UK on a case-by-case basis” .
So Sarwar calls Reform UK “Racists” yet he is willing to consider what he calls any potential “good ideas” from them, so what would Sarwar consider to be a “good idea” from a party like Reform UK who are right wing, demonises immigrants , attacks the welfare system , wants to lower taxes for the wealthy and wants to help large corporations ?
Actually as I was writing that about Reform UK I have just realised that these are the very same things Labour HQ are (right wing) and also are doing as the current UK government.
So then evil minds do think alike , so it’s not that far fetched to think that the Labour branch office would then respond to some (bad) ideas from Reform UK. (in return for their , Reform UK’s, support for Labour at Holyrood….a special arrangement…aka a dirty deal , that could , it seems, be one that is conceived by Sarwar himself).
The duplicity of Sarwar was surely exposed last night when Sarwar apparently seemed to be attacking Offord and yet this shocking revelation by Offord would then contradict his, Sarwar’s , behaviour in his attacks upon Offord and Reform UK in this leader’s debate.
I did not watch this programme last night so my intel is second hand however there seemed to be a consensus of opinion online (and via videos) as to what was said and someone also did a transcript of this particular shocking exchange aka a shocking revelation.
So then to make matters even worse , well apparently when Offord revealed that shocking information about Sarwar, it seems John Swinney stood looking visibly shocked by this revelation and so he was about to speak , then Sarwar said to John Swinney “Don’t you try and jump on this John, to try and play politics” !
What audacity from Sarwar, who does he think he is to tell John Swinney not to react or respond to such a shocking revelation, as if we are all expected to believe that if he, Sarwar, had been in Mr Swinney’s position, then he would then hold back, as in refrain, and so then not comment on such a revelation being exposed if it were JS and Reform UK that Offord spoke of in this way!
Hugely important election campaign, but apparently for Sarwar , an opposition leader upon hearing a shocking statement about Sarwar is then not expected to make a justified political point upon this revelation…….so then on what planet does Sarwar think that is realistic as a political reaction ?
Though the other Q here is , what did Offord respond to this request by Sarwar at Paisley Town Hall, my gut tells me that he agreed, so then another Q arises what then changed to then make Offord want to expose this ‘pact’ suggestion by Sarwar last night.
I suspect Sarwar just blew it last night in being way way too aggressive and hypocritical towards Offord , mainly as Sarwar just cannot help being someone who constantly lies , is totally untrustworthy and so basically he only thinks of himself .
If there are indeed people in Scotland still willing to vote for Labour in May then I assume , based upon the constant fiascos associated with Labour HQ and their branch office, that they, as voters are not voting for the party (that is because they truly believe that Labour will be better governing Scotland) , but instead they are only voting for Labour to try to stop Scottish independence happening, with Labour being their party of choice to try to prevent it.
Any other alternative theory to them, as voters, still wanting to vote for Labour in May’s elections then makes absolutely no sense in any sane and rational world.
Vote Labour get Reform UK…..or so it seems (that is , if Sarwar gets his way).

Afterthought:
Re my above comment in what should be a huge political story in the papers in Scotland today , especially during what is a election campaign here …………but…………
The Scotsman – small section at side of the front page on “Sarwar angrily denies Offord anti-Nat deal lie”
The Herald – nothing on their front page on this story.
The Daily Mail – noted it only within the text of their front page story on the debate and not as a main headline.
The Daily Record -nothing on their front page on this story.
The Daily Express – nothing on their front page on this story (instead their main headline is how to vote tactically to “beat the SNP”).
The Sun – nothing on their front page on this story.
The Times – nothing on their front page on this story.
The Daily Telegraph – a tiny section at the bottom of their front page that states “Sarwar offered me a deal claims Offord”.
The ‘I’ paper – nothing on their front page on this story.
The Guardian – nothing on their front page on this story.
The Metro – nothing on their front page on this story.
Other papers – nothing on their front page on this story.
The National mentions it on their front page but not as the main headlined story, which is a story on Offord , but at least they had the Sarwar/Offord story in bigger headlines than other newspapers.
So it seems that when there has been a shocking political accusation made against Sarwar, then the media here , and elsewhere, see it as no big deal.
As obviously for the media it is a shocking political accusation that has been made against what they regard as being the wrong party leader , so then not worth headlining…..as that’s only reserved as a behaviour by the media for the SNP and their leader.

“I suspect Sarwar just blew it last night in being way way too aggressive and hypocritical towards Offord”
exactly this, how on earth he thought he could be so aggressive in his attack without Offord hitting back says volumes for Sarwar’s intelligence I think.
It has slowly appeared in different media outlets over the day, I suspect many were initially unaware or bothered by the revelation. Thankfully we have other sources to rely on, sources the MSM is slow to recognise or respond to

Paul Hutcheon of the Daily Record posted this on 14 April
“The SNP are relying on Malcolm Offord’s word over Anas Sarwar’s. This is despite John Swinney saying Offord has no place at Holyrood”
Nope that’s not really the situation here, no matter how much Paul H is trying to deflect this away from Anas Sarwar and then present it as another #SNPBAD situation.
Paul H expects us to believe that Anas Sarwar’s word is what ?
His bond ?
What about Grangemouth Oil Refinery ?
What about the fabricated quote in his party’s 2026 election campaign leaflet.
What about his family firm’s living wage (after it was revealed that his family’s wholesale business, United Wholesale, did not pay all staff the real living wage, despite Sarwar campaigning on that issue)
In 2022 Sarwar said that there be no coalitions after the Council elections but in Edinburgh (as 1 example) Labour suspended two of their councillors for defying orders not to do a grubby back room deal with the Tories in that council in them not being prepared to vote for the Tories over the SNP”
Labour MSP Paul Kane has a unusual take on this Offord/Sarwar spat, as according to him the SNP are ‘defending’ Malcolm Offord. As that was what he claimed in last night’s Debate Night on the BBC.
Now that is a classic lesson in how Labour try to spin a political situation , but also when it’s Labour, it’s an instinctive reaction to always present it as #SNPBAD especially when clearly it isa case of either #LabourBad or #SarwarBad.
The reality is that Sarwar was accused of doing something via a shocking revelation made by an opposition leader. Labour then expected the SNP to completely ignore this and so then during what is an election campaign just never mention it nor comment upon it, as we are also expected to believe that had it been John Swinney this was said about then both Labour and Anas Sarwar would not have tried to take advantage of it politically in any way whatever ????
That is apparently the fairy story version via Labour and their client media…..

While I have no time for the “Just an ordinary lad fa Greenock”, I suspect that he had been pushed too far by Sarwar during the debate and it was an unplanned response as to what Sarwar had actually been up to in his desperation to become First Minister.
Are there any odds yet on when Sarwar will resign?
