BBC Scotland comparing the Scottish NHS with the rest of the UK but no mention of English strikes

By Liz S

Talking of hiding things from the public…….

The experts, that is the BBC, are the ones who are adept in that type of behaviour, in their quest to publish, transmit and broadcast all and any #SNPBAD news.

MSM Monitor posted this below as an astute observation re the BBC supposed NHS comparisons today:

“BBC Scotland is comparing the Scottish NHS with the rest of the UK. No mention of English strikes.

No mention that corridor care is lowest in Scotland

No mention of Scotland having highest NHS satisfaction.

No mention of multiple English critical incidents this winter but none in Scotland.

No mention of HUGE maternity unit scandals in England with police investigations”

Indeed.

How often have we on this site mentioned the BBC constantly slating the Scottish NHS while also failing to compare the Scottish NHS performance with other NHS service performances within the UK……….

How naïve I feel in stating that , that is in my wrong assumption that if and when they , the BBC in Scotland, eventually did do just that , as in make comparisons, that in doing that they would then be very selective in what they chose to compare and that they would also choose to omit significant events , incidents and data that would then cast other NHS service within the UK in a bad light while simultaneously it would show that the Scottish NHS was performing far better in those certain areas.

We , in Scotland, should not have to tolerate such a hostile British media like the BBC ,whose only job it seems is to promote only British interests, political or otherwise, and who love to promote negative scandal news linked to the SNP while forgetting the way too many scandals linked to them as a British corporation.

The BBC is another one indulging in glass house behaviour…….

That is the same BBC who employed certain people to present their programmes who were then connected to a scandal while employed by them .

Different absolutely disgusting behaviour and acts that ranged from sexual harassment accusations, being accused of bullying Junior colleagues and to others being unmasked as those committing acts of sexual abuse that included some of them committing acts of child abuse.

Read this online:

“The BBC has faced numerous high-profile scandals linked to people who worked for the corporation, ranging from sexual abuse and misconduct to serious editorial failures. These scandals have frequently rocked the institution’s leadership, forced resignations, and initiated internal reviews regarding workplace culture and “untouchable” talent”

Indeed , yet they, the BBC in Scotland, are those who assume that they can be both judge and jury over others , especially when it comes to the SNP.

Tell me in what world does that seem fair and right ?

  1. Plaid Cymru is doing well in the polls in Wales.

So , of course, that then means the BBC must go into attack mode.

Currently on the BBC website on their main UK politics page and the Welsh Politics page there is a headline:

“Lecturer who called Israel a terrorist state to remain Plaid Cymru candidate”

“Vivek Thuppil, who is on Plaid’s candidate list in Bangor Conwy Mon, said Israel should be proscribed like a terrorist organisation in posts on the Bluesky social platform”

The BBC article then stated “Israel has consistently stated that its military action in Gaza and beyond is necessary to root out Hamas and other militant groups which threaten its security”

The article then went on to note that one of the Reform candidates in Wales had “appeared to perform a Nazi salute” as if this was comparative to what the Plaid candidate had said about Israel.

This BBC article also added “Former Bangor University lecturer Thuppil had responded to a story on Bluesky 10 months ago, which quoted Gaza officials saying Israel had killed civilians waiting at food distribution points, commenting that “The state of Israel is a terrorist state”.

“In another message, quoting a news story reporting masked Israeli settlers beating a deaf Palestinian man, Thuppil said the matter was “Israeli terrorism”.

“Israel is a terrorist state. Any support for Israel should be legally proscribed like for any other terrorist entity.”.

The SKY News presenter on the paper review apparently said:

“Plaid have kept some candidates in place who have made controversial comments about Israel”

The excellent Saul Staniforth ,on his X account , responded:

“The Plaid candidate in question called Israel a terrorist state. This isn’t a controversial comment. Its a fact”.

Already the UK MSM knives are out for Plaid and if they win then they too will get a taste of the same medicine that the SNP has had to endure constantly from all of these same sources.

I saw this online as reported via various reputable sources (so then not on the BBC website) :

“Israeli Officials Warn Christian and Druze in Lebanon ‘Not to Hide’ Muslim Displaced People”.

So what is the definition of a “Terrorist” ?

A Terrorist is defined as being – a person(s) who uses unlawful violence and intimidation , especially against civilians in the pursuit of political aims.

Well if the cap fits ………………..what then is “controversial” about that Plaid candidate’s statement upon Israel, or indeed even seeing her being dropped as a Plaid candidate ?
