i am at a loss as to why you do not just reach your target but surpass it.
you are doing a great job and I hope there is a late surge.

Perhaps a different approach might work. Last year you raised in excess of £30000 so (say) £2500 per month. Why not set this against the costs of running the site, payments to those who help you etc. etc. That would show people the stark reality of the challenges you face.
