Look at the massive generosity of the SNP Government’s grant subsidies per person , above, for those living the Western Isles, Orkney and Shetland – around £4 to £6 000 per person more than the rest of us get but are they grateful, are they heck?
Western Isles is Labour , Orkney and Shetland are Lib Dumbs.
Of course, thanks to the ‘Scottish’ media, they don’t know.

Talking-up Scotland 
To portray islanders as being ungrateful is both unfair and untrue. This is tabloid stuff and unworthy of you.
To be fair, a select few gum-bumpers appear on a regular basis to create the perception of ferry famine but those islanders I know (and I have many friends and family from Shetland to Arran) are well aware of just how well provided for they are.

Be nice if they would speak out once in a while, especially when social media is alight with ferry bad stories.

I think the whole point is they “may” not know.
If you read the Herald or relied on BBC Scotland for information, you would soon believe that you would end up the same as the inhabitants of St. Kilda. You would certainly never read anything positive.
