The Herald front page today is frankly disgusting. That’s a five year total added-up in an infantile attempt to get a big number. It was actually just 96.2m and far more important, they won’t share with us the real news, it’s falling.

In their own report, para 7, we see:

So three years ago, in one year, £38m out of £96m was paid out, leaving £58m to be shared out over the other 4 years, three of them after that. They present that as further bad news, deliberately, you have to think, not then drawing the obvious conclusion that it must be falling after that and has become good news.

Here are the official figures, sources below:

If the Herald’s total of £96m is correct, then the Scottish figure for 2024/2025 is only £7m! These pay-outs are plummeting.

NHS England, using the latest figures for comparison, 2023/2024, per head of population, 7 times higher.

  1. This Herald ”Exclusive ” investigation consisted of young Herald scribbler , Hannah Brown , filing a Freedom of Information Request then sitting back with a cuppa waiting for a Civil Servant to do the leg work .

WoW! She”ll be in line for a Pulitzer Prize soon with that level of investigative prowess . Woodward and Bernstein eat your hearts out !

  2. The Scottish Gov spends £13Billion on healthcare + social care, 1/3 of the underfunded block Grant. One of the biggest Gov spends in Scotland trying to keep people well.

The Tories cut NHS funding over 10 years+ leaving a massive deficit. The Scottish Gov has to mitigate it,

FOI access wastes public money. Not qualified information. The unionists do not understand statistics. Get it wrong every time. Deliberately. To try and smear.

The SNHS one of the most supported institutions. Saving lives everyday.

Westminster spends £13Billion a year, on decommissioning nuclear. Over ten years £130Billion. Nuclear a total waste of money. Too costly, dirty deadly. The money could be spent on healthcare. Hickly Point is years late and over budget. The money could have been spent on healthcare. The Westminster extravagant waste and shambles. Bad policies.
