7,000 men in prison. Many should have been in proper rehab facilities. Cheaper and more suitable. The SNP Gov has invested £250million in proper rehab facilities. 300 women in prison.
Crime is a gender issue. More women are abused because they do not receive legal aid. To get away from dangerous, unstable situations. Legal aid has to be paid back in any case. Pays for itself – cost effective.
There is more crime because of Westminster cost of living crisis. Spending more on war, killing people, than keeping people safe and properly supporting the economy.
