The above shocking news [Sun] is all over the media but none are telling us this:
Only Scotland and Wales meet WHO target for measles protection
From Childhood immunisation statistics Scotland Quarter ending 30 September 2025, yesterday:
The first dose of Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccine is offered between 12 and 13 months old and the second dose at 3 years 4 months old. 92.5% of children had the first dose of MMR vaccine by 24 months of age. This rose to 95.9% for children who had reached age 5. Uptake of the second dose of MMR vaccine by 5 years was 90.6%, rising to 90.9% by age 6 years.
From Vaccine update: issue 365, November 2025 published on 26 November 2025:
At age 5, overall UK coverage for the 6 in 1 edged up to 93.2%, but the pre school booster (dTaP/IPV) fell sharply by 1.2%, and MMR2 dropped slightly. Scotland and Wales exceeded the WHO’s 95% target for the 6 in 1 and MMR1, while Northern Ireland achieved strong results just below that threshold. In England, coverage varied by region, with London consistently reporting the lowest rates.
Why the need for a border?
More than 80% of 2025 cases in Scotland are linked to imports (international or from England/rest of UK), with the remainder of unknown origin or indigenous. This aligns with PHS’s monitoring of UK-wide and European resurgence, where importations threaten under-vaccinated communities.
No exact number is specified, but PHS explicitly warns that cases imported from the “rest of the UK” (primarily England, due to its large outbreaks in London, the North West, and Birmingham) could seed local outbreaks in Scotland.
Deaths?
2 last year, 5 the year before, all in England.

We need a hard border to stop the illegal drugs coming in to Scotland from England.

Of course we need a border. But there’s only one way of securing it.

NO, it’s NOT insensitive!
We must address all matters relating to Scotland and the protection of Scots, including health.
We had to put up with English ignoring Covid rules, especially their English Monarch and the entourage he/they bring with them.
He/they weren’t punished, but a Scottish MP was, bec she panicked & returned to her family in Scotland, instead of remaining stuck alone in England when she was told she had Covid symptoms.
We have English drug gangs, taking over villages in Scotland, threatening with machetes etc, taking over people’s homes & threatening OUR young into selling drugs for them.
That’s only a few of many important issues for Scotland.
Scots have had to put up with having NO power over who enters OUR Nation for 318+yrs.
Upon Independence, we must take that back and ensure our borders are guarded and run by WE Scots.
We have nothing to apologise for ensuring we’ll have the powers ENGLAND has always had, as have every other Nation.
Our borders must come under back under OUR rules, safeguarded on health or any other issues.
The only sensible option for the above and more, to protect Scotland is a ‘hard border’, which we will make work.
A ‘soft’ border would NOT allow us to properly control our own borders on the above and more issues.
Haste the Day we take back control of OUR SCOTLAND and everything related therein and thereto!

I mentioned that to the WHO via bluesky, for what it’s worth. The so called union is unhealthy for Scotland.

I daresay that there are more than a few in Northern England who would be happy to be north of any Independent Scottish border ! Welcome one and all !
