Scotland is expected to generate nearly three quarters of Britain’s onshore wind power with in five years — sparking fears the country is facing North Sea oil-style exploitation as a green energy supplier for England.
The Herald on Sunday can reveal that a new roadmap from the UK Government -owned energy management company NESO (National Energy System Operator) shows Scotland’s onshore wind farms would produce up to 20.5 gigawatts at any one time — almost 70% of the UK’s 29.1GW target by 2030.

So that’s why ‘The Sunday Herald’ doesn’t appear on the BBC Scotland website today under ‘Scotland’s Papers’.
The Sunday Mail has not appeared either. Wonder if they have printed something along the same lines, must check at the shops.

This one claims that by using Scotland’s excess renewable energy it will help to ‘reduce grid congestion and LOWER consumer bills throughout the UK’.

Odd story for the Herald as it has recently been promoting nuclear power for Scotland repeatedly and giving Tom Greatrex unlimited access.
No timescale, no price breakdown, no jobs update, no explanation why Scotland needs nukes, no price of finished product, no repository for waste—nothing other than Nuke propaganda.
They know, when it comes to Scotland funding nukes for England, Sarwar/Findley/Cole-Hamilton will do exactly what they are told……”you’re knighthood is in the post”, or “there will be a seat next to Ffloulksakia/Bella/Ruthless fur ye”.
Or probably jist a wee pat oan the heid. Good boy!
