So we have BBC Scotland, the Chair of the Scottish BMA, Sarwar, Baillie, the English NHS Health Secretary Wes Streeting, the UK PM, all of Labour HQ & the branch office Labour party in Scotland all politicising the NHS in Scotland but England’s NHS is to be exempt from politicisation now that Labour are in charge. I see. Got it.

By Liz S “Why is Reporting Scotland still headlining the three-day-old news of ‘hundreds’ of operations cancelled in one NHS board”…….why indeed. Well they, the BBC ‘news’ teams in Scotland, need to hang onto (prolong) what they promote as being #BAD ‘news’….. that they then see as being another political weapon that they can use against the SNP…………it also helps to reinforce the BBC in Scotland’s current favourite UK political party’s message, as in the Labour party, and their political campaign of misinformation upon the Scottish NHS and the SNP. Meanwhile yesterday MSM Monitor posted this on ‘X’ “Waiting times in the English NHS … Continue reading So we have BBC Scotland, the Chair of the Scottish BMA, Sarwar, Baillie, the English NHS Health Secretary Wes Streeting, the UK PM, all of Labour HQ & the branch office Labour party in Scotland all politicising the NHS in Scotland but England’s NHS is to be exempt from politicisation now that Labour are in charge. NHS waiting list in England is longer per head by quarter of a million patients and shockingly twice as long in Wales, than in Scotland

Professor John Robertson OBA MSM Monitor, fast and effective as always, demolished the claims of Baillie and Sarwar yesterday. What are the most recent waiting list figures? So, with 10 times the population, England might be expected to have 10 times as many as Scotland or 7 180 000 but has 230 000 more. With just over half (0.57%) of the population, Wales might be expected to just over half of the waiting list length, 400 000 at most, of Scotland but actually has nearly 400 000 more than that. Please tell us Sir Ian will there be any oil left next year?

Professor John Robertson OBA Remember Sir Ian Wood back in 2014, doing his best to get a No vote in the referendum by telling us, with only days to go, that the oil would soon run out? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-28867487 Sir Ian is back again, on the P&J front page today with wind turbines behind him: Has he gone green because the oil has run out like he said it would? Will it be more difficult to tell us that the wind only has a few years left when BBC Scotland consult him days before the next referendum? Don’t count him out … Continue reading Please tell us Sir Ian will there be any oil left next year?

Jewish Scot confirms research suggesting there is less anti-Semitism here to spoil BBC Reporting Scotland agenda that we’re just as bad as elsewhere in the UK

also hopeful it is safer as Jewish people to live in Glasgow, in Scotland than there is not as much anti-Semitism, ant-Zionism, there is not these much going ahead, there is not so much hatred. Professor John Robertson OBA On BBC Reporting Scotland last night we saw an interview with a Jewish woman from Glasgow, welcoming the apparent peace settlement in Gaza but also, unscripted, telling the reporter that she is aware of less anti-Semitism in Scotland. This is not something the MSM here want you to be thinking. Remember, we’re just like the rest of the UK, bad. While … Continue reading Jewish Scot confirms research suggesting there is less anti-Semitism here to spoil BBC Reporting Scotland agenda that we’re just as bad as elsewhere in the UK

Plummeting drug deaths and target-busting treatment but they desperately hang on to Scotland’s past

Professor John Robertson OBA BBC Scotland‘s website is headlining the vote in Holyrood yesterday which rejected the Conservative Party’s proposed bill that would have given people with drug and alcohol addictions the legal right to treatment. The report opens with  Former Scottish Conservative leader Douglas Ross, who tabled the Right to Addiction Recovery (Scotland) Bill, said the legislation would have saved lives. However, opponents said the proposals risked overburdening already stretched services. No evidence for either of these claims if offered and the author has little choice but to tell us, at same point, even if later, the facts which … Continue reading Plummeting drug deaths and target-busting treatment but they desperately hang on to Scotland’s past

Why is Reporting Scotland still headlining the three-day-old news of ‘hundreds’ of operations cancelled in one NHS board when it never tells us of the month after month 98% of thousands completed across the country?

with faulty sterilising equipment that’s led to the cancellation of hundreds of operations, is fixed. Professor John Robertson OBA BBC Scotland‘s insert in BBC Breakfast this morning opens with the above story. The BBC Scotland website and STV last mentioned it three days ago. They’re desperately milking a rare NHS Scotland ‘failure’ that they hope you will connect with the SNP Government in some way. They never report this good news based on figures that appear month after month: NHS Scotland was ready to complete 98% of operations in August 2025 despite steadily increasing demand From Public Health Scotland 7 October 2025: … Continue reading Why is Reporting Scotland still headlining the three-day-old news of ‘hundreds’ of operations cancelled in one NHS board when it never tells us of the month after month 98% of thousands completed across the country?

New SNP legislation to control irresponsible grouse moor management responsible for wildfires and flood damage

Professor John Robertson OBA From the Scottish Government today: Link – https://www.gov.scot/news/muirbuirn-licence-scheme/ This diplomatic account conceals, I feel sure, a determined policy by the SNP to reign in grouse moor owners and managers, even if delayed by one year, who are responsible for turning Scotland’s uplands into deserts amenable only to the interests of small affluent elites and responsible for events such as the Brechin Floods of 2023 wrongly attributed to Storm Babet and to Scottish Government ‘failures.’ How so? BBC Reporting Scotland 22 October 2024 were back on the October 2023 Storm Babet and the flood damage to Brechin, … Continue reading New SNP legislation to control irresponsible grouse moor management responsible for wildfires and flood damage

News you won’t hear – Only in Scotland thousands of carers to get additional payment

Professor John Robertson OBA From the Scottish Government today, by email to every news agency in Scotland but largely ignored: Scotland’s carers getting more financial support through Social Security Scotland. Around 118,000 unpaid carers who were receiving Carer’s Allowance have had their benefit awards safely and securely transferred to Social Security Scotland’s Carer Support Payment.  Carer Support Payment began rolling out across Scotland in November 2023 to replace Carer’s Allowance delivered by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).  Since the formation of Social Security Scotland in 2018, the Scottish Government has delivered more financial support for unpaid carers in … Continue reading News you won’t hear – Only in Scotland thousands of carers to get additional payment

Infant and neo-natal mortality significantly lower in Scotland to save hundreds every year

Professor John Robertson OBA Thanks to one of the TuS Anons for alerting me to this. In the Guardian today, the above and: At the start of Baby Loss Awareness Week, we should remember that the number of tragedies remains heartbreaking. Including stillbirths, there are 4870 baby deaths every year in the UK [sic]– around 13 every day. Some of these would have happened with the best of care, but many more could have been avoided. And every single one leaves behind devastated parents who must do what no human being should ever have to do – bury their own child. If … Continue reading Infant and neo-natal mortality significantly lower in Scotland to save hundreds every year

Private schools intake drop welcomed by education experts but clearly worries BBC Scotland, Herald, Scotsman and Reform UK

From Alasdair Macdonald [former Head Teacher] this morning: The Herod and the Scotsperson both headline the fall in the number of children attending private schools in Scotland since the introduction of VAT on school fees. Both papers call the decision to charge VAT ‘vindictive’ and present the fall as a bad thing. Over 95% of children in Scotland attend local authority schools and this has been the level since education became compulsory in 1873. The monies raised by VAT are hypothecated to public education. This, according to two of our ‘papers of record’, is a bad thing for Scottish education. … Continue reading Private schools intake drop welcomed by education experts but clearly worries BBC Scotland, Herald, Scotsman and Reform UK
