Has he gone green because the oil has run out like he said it would? Will it be more difficult to tell us that the wind only has a few years left when BBC Scotland consult him days before the next referendum? Don’t count him out just yet.
Also, has BBC Scotland asked Sir Ian about this?
I don’t know about you but I’m confused. We clearly need expert impartial advice on this. Someone ask that Sir Ian again? He’ll know…what he thinks is best for us….to believe.

“Warnings over oil predictions”….
As in Oil running oot by 2019 warning….by Sir Ian Wood….as one of the BBC’s (Go To) ‘experts’ who had (has) a vested interest in the UK being sustained…..surely ?
Well that ‘oil running oot’ bubble is now well and truly burst………..
However did all of those Scottish voters who voted in 37 Labour MP’s last year in the 2024 UK GE note that crucial fact…………aka yet another BT lie.
As the word is now that ‘Oil will need to still be used for…………decades to come’.
According to the GB (renewable and Nuclear) Energy company party….as in the Green revolution party formally known as the Labour HQ party……….and now also the current UK Labour government…….
Who knew all this on Oil?
Well my guess is that those who did all know this….. are all of those who were on the NO side in 2014, including Sir Ian Wood and the BBC too, that is the same BBC who tweeted out his, Wood the Oil expert, “2019 (false) prediction”….
As most certainly it was a false prediction by him, Wood, and endorsed by the BBC and all UK political parties…..
Sir Ian Wood, being someone who should have know better as in he should have really known the truth, as one who was involved in the Oil business………as clearly Oil was not and so has not ran out, as it will apparently be used by various UK governments for a (far too) long long long time to come (as in the various UK governments, who are all coincidentally all of those same UK political parties who were all a part of the NO side campaign) .
No worries though , as it seemed as if most Scots, who elected 37 Labour MP’s in Scotland last year , all forgot this crucial lie that was told to all of them and their country, Scotland, in 2014, as in when they all chose to elect 37 Labour MP’s from Scotland to go to WM (where a UK government profits from our Scottish Oil, that still is there in abundance apparently)………..like well we all make mistakes don’t we….kind of vibe …is it not ? (No, it is not that vibe at all ).
As it was not a mistake , the oil prediction, it was in fact a powerful weapon used as part of the BT Project Fear campaign……..
As Scottish Oil is only crucial and financially beneficial when it is the UK government in charge and so then the UK Treasury benefits financially from tax revenue on profits made upon Oil, as does the UK State as a whole (or Hole) also benefit from Oil for it’s apparent future UK energy security…………as now most of the various UK political party’s arguments is now that…….. why rely upon “foreign imports” of Oil ?
In April 2025 it was reported that there was a “£150 billion pound value to the UK economy from the North sea”………meanwhile for an independent Scotland that same Oil in the North sea would see a debit… as in a loss …..for a Scottish Treasury of an independent Scotland
(That is ….as a -false- prediction….that would be made by those who all oppose Scottish independence and so who only support the UK State)
Also they all would declare (lie) that an independent Scotland could not rely upon Oil for it’s future energy security ( as only a UK wide State , with more people in it, can do that…..???????).
Mind you we would not need to or want to rely upon Oil in the future within Scotland as an independent country….as we, Scotland, now have a potential and capacity to succeed and flourish with our abundance of renewable energy that we have within Scotland……but guess what ?
Yes , there will now be UK ‘experts’ (sourced by BBC Scotland) who will say that Scotland cannot flourish, profit from and so be enriched by the potential and capacity of renewable energy within Scotland….but can you guess who will ?
Well of course only the UK State under a UK State government………..but surely we are finally at the stage of ……….fool me once etc etc etc (via most Scots in Scotland).
I’m getting drained with it all now (as others are as well) ………..but that will never stop me from continuing to expose their UK State lies and propaganda………so they will not radicalise me to ever support their UK State fake ideology……that would be madness and also an act of self harm to me….and also a harm to my son…..and to the future generations to come in Scotland……..who I do not want to also have to suffer under a greedy, corrupt and self serving UK State as governed by various contemptible UK State governments ………..

(Truism- a statement that is so obvious or said so often that its truth is not questioned).
He then attached a notice on Blair McDougall being appointed as a Parliamentary Under Secretary of State in the department of Business & Trade……….or what is seen as Jim Murphy noting that he, and his business, have friends in high places…..
Also as a “truism” it was not best for the UK to have a “Blair involved” in the illegal war in Iraq……when Tony Blair & George Bush lied to their respective countries just to ensure that Iraq was invaded by the UK & the USA. (also Bush Junior wanted to settle an old score for Bush senior ).
Blair is a war criminal……..that’s a “truism”. ………also a “truism” is the fact that Jim Murphy was a big fat political loser in the 2015 UK GE….and as a “Blair involved” in Scotland in the 2015 UK GE he was soundly rejected by the Scottish public…..losing the Labour party 40 of their 41 MP’s.
Also previously on the 6th September he posted this on ‘X’ ……..

Democracy really is allegedly up for Sale……….with alleged dirty politics that allegedly takes donations from business owners…but what are the strings attached to these financial donations ?
Which are all, of course, at the UK tax payers expense……..not that Murphy cares , as one who is clearly just a Blair stooge. (also a “truism”).

Sir Ian Wood’s fortune is listed as £2 billion. So that £40 million donation won’t make a dent in his ill gotten gains. But it will tax the rest of us to match fund.
He is nowhere near as rich as that other oily oligarch Sir Jim Ratcliffe who has £17 billion (plus the £200,00 reward offered for closing Grangemouth and opening a chemicals business in Belgium). That BTW is £12 billion less than he had in 2023 after moving to Monaco to save £4 b in tax.

Ian Wood offered £80million gift to Aberdeen to fund the Union Terrace project. It would have transformed the City. Labour rejected it. Instead spent £7million a year on the Muse mess, £210million. £30Million on a tier to the Art Galley. Spending £50million churning up the beach surrounds. The mess of Union Street. Spend £30Million on Union Terrace gardens.
Ian Wood Foundation funds projects in Africa. The Wood Group has paid a lot in tax and supported good jobs. The UK Gov is now not issuing Oil licences. Importing Oil & Gas. From Norway, US etc.
