NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has one of the lowest operation cancellation rates in Scotland with nearly 99% completion rates

Professor John Robertson OBA

The Herald has the above today and:

Children in Glasgow have been taken to England for vital heart surgery due to staff shortages at the Royal Hospital for Children. It’s understood that due to a number of anaesthetists leaving the health centre, as well as some shorter notice absences in the wider staff, heart surgery has been suspended.

and:

A small number? Two? It’s never mentioned but Sandesh Gulhane is.

Also, never mentioned, ever, this kind of thing:

From Public Health Scotland Cancelled planned operations Month Ending 31 August 2025, we can see

  1. While 7.8% of operations in GG&C were cancelled, only 1.3% were cancelled to to unavailability of staff or operating theatres, compared to 2.2% for NHS Scotland as a whole.
  2. NHS GG&C had a lower cancellation rate of this kind than all bar Shetland, Tayside and the Golden Jubilee in Clydebank.

The Herald has never reported this.

  1. Clearly the unionist press and politicians have never heard of the old proverb ”Crying Wolf !”

Their unrelenting criticism , misreporting , lies , etc..about the Scottish NHS is now like water off a duck’s back . How much impact does it have when the Scottish public can see the utter sh*tshow that Westminster has/is making of the English NHS ?
