This link is about the Chinese company wanting to invest in Scotland but according to Fraser of BBC Scotland it could be blocked by the UK Gov.Now here is the thing if the Super Chinese Embassy in London gets the go ahead and the one in Scotland is blocked would we be surprised and what would we Dougies excuse be.Just a thought

On the crucially important issue of child poverty, the hypocrisy of British Labour Party MSPs is on display. And too many leaders of third sector bodies in Scotland seem only too willing to feed the mainstream media’s appetite to berate the present Scottish Government, with at best scant acknowledgement of the latter’s positive actions and with little or no context and perspective.

Eluned Morgan, the FM of the Labour government in Wales has written an article on child poverty. She sets out what her government has been doing to address the issue and then adds:
‘But even with all of that, we know it is not enough. Despite all the efforts we make, we know that more needs to be done. The truth is that the levers of power to make a difference to the number of children living in poverty in Wales lie with the UK Government.’
Now there’s a headline for The Herald to use on its front page if genuinely concerned about child poverty and not just raw politics, a truthful headline, as true in Scotland as the leader of the British Labour Party in Wales states it to be in her country.
As for the leaders of the third sector organisations prone to attacking the Scottish Government, perhaps they should ask Ms Duncan-Glancy to explain her Welsh colleague’s conclusion!
