Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch has said her party will remove all net zero requirements on oil and gas companies drilling in the North Sea if elected. Badenoch is to formally announce the plan to focus solely on “maximising extraction” and to get “all our [sic] oil and gas out of the North Sea” in a speech in Aberdeen on Tuesday.
I’ve often wondered if Badenoch knows of her ancestor through marriage, the Wolf of Badenoch (above), a man fond of pillage and plunder. She’s fitting in well with family traditions anyway. For more see:

Approximately 90% of the UK’s oilfields are located in Scottish waters, primarily in the North Sea to the north and east of the Scottish mainland, with some fields also west of Shetland. Firstly, I doubt if Badenoch will ever get near power as her party is disintegrating as we speak. However, that is her mindset, that we, Scotland, are a colony, and they, the Government of another country, can do as they wish. And who can blame them, because this has been their practice over many centuries. The real question is when are we going to do something about this situation? Ask politely to be allowed to hold another referendum? And when that is refused, as it will be, what then? Personally, having campaigned for many years for our Independence, knocked on thousands of doors to no avail, well, maybe some success in persuading a few, we, in my opinion, are no nearer to achieving our goal, and yes, the opinion polls, if you believe them, say a majority are now in favour, again I believe the margin for Yes is much greater, but it all goes back to the only question, how to reach our goal. Well, how?

Alex great comment, also Badenoch was backed by Michael Gove in one of the Tory leadership contests (as in too many Tory leadership contests in such a short space of time)…..that then speaks volumes as to who and what she is as a ‘politician’……….
As if the snake aka Michael Gove backs you ….well then you must be a wrong ‘un…..as is he, Gove.
However it also proves that he, Gove, is not that astute ….as she has proven to be useless as a new Tory leader…..floundering springs to mind as a word to describe her time as their new leader……….mind you at the time that he , Gove , nominated her , he was still a politician so perhaps he thought , in nominating her and so backing her to be the next Tory leader, he could then treat her as his puppet….
As to us “reaching our goal” in gaining our independence…someone on here mentioned a lottery win (by one , like us, on here ) might then inject some much needed cash into project ‘Yes to Indy’….I have some ideas as to how to get the message out to the masses….but that takes money and I certainly would not communicate those ideas on a public forum….as we all know certain peeps read this blog (and the comments)……..and so the best chance of success for us is the element of surprise as in #WheeshtForOurIndyCampaign.
A peaceful but effective campaign by us to counter their relentless (propaganda) campaign , where they who support the UK State are still very active, for their UK State…….pre and since 2014.

She is desperately trying to hang onto the coat tails of Nigel Farage and his new party Reform UK….as previous Tory leaders also did as well……(as is Keir Starmer and his Labour party are also doing)………..
The same Reform UK that is poaching members of Badenoch’s Tory party, both voters and also Tory politicians who have now defected from the Tory party to Reform UK….(also Reform UK are also poaching Labour voters and Labour politicians too).
Breaking News: ‘Scots who voted NO in 2014 were told OIL WAS RUNNING OUT!
In fact the BBC, via Sir Ian Wood, communicated OIL WOULD RUN OUT IN 2019.
It is now 2025…..that is 6 years after 2019.
Now apparently, also in 2025, OIL WILL BE NEEDED FOR DECADES TO COME……as in it was NOT running out at all in 2014…that was just another #Lie and another part of a #ProjectFear tactic used by the NO side in 2014 (that included the BBC in Scotland).
Why will it be needed for decades to come?
How is it that a resource , once reported to be a resource that was running out , is now one that is still here and so is needed for decades to come ? (Rhetorical Q obviously).
Who benefits ? (another rhetorical Q obviously).
Oil in a independent Scotland was apparently worthless, depleting and so of no value to Scotland or it’s government’s Treasury for the benefit of an independent Scotland….
Meanwhile now, in 2025, it is the exact opposite for the UK as a State, and too for it’s government’s Treasury and also for the UK (England mostly) to fund new government projects………as based on the message from the UK to Scotland in 2014 which was “Just say NO”………….(not “No Thanks” as that sounds like we should be and feel thankful that we are (were) saying “NO“…….
Scotland was told that oil was an unreliable resource for an independent Scotland to assume it could rely upon….
Yet the UK , as a State , can and so will rely upon still using Oil as a reliable source (for decades).
The same UK State that defended the UK in 2014 can now depend upon (Scottish) Oil and so then benefit from it as a lucrative , reliable and precious (Scottish) resource and so as a financial benefit to the UK Treasury for the benefit of their UK State….(mostly to the English government’s finances)……….but not for the sole benefit of Scotland (if it were now independent)……..
Confused ? That is those Scots who voted NO in 2014 and so were led to believe Oil was running out, and so was then worthless to a future independent Scotland yet now for the UK State that position is the opposite…….so perhaps some who voted NO in 2o14 may no longer be so so so very confused now….surely ?

Funny how the oil and gas was all running out 11 years ago, but now seems to have a lifetime of 30 more years.
Of course Badenock (sic) has as much chance as me of being Prime Minister—and I, as a citizen of a new independent Scotland, would never want to be.

BBC fake news…..
MSM Monitor tweeted:
“BBC presenter Lucy Whyte has claimed Scottish drug deaths hit a record high of 1339 in 2023. FALSE The figure of 1339 is from 2020. The (actual) figure for 2023 was 1172. BBC Scotland, not for the first time, is circulating fake data that reverses the actual drug death trend”.
I checked online and MSM Monitor is 100% correct.
Lucy Whyte stated on Radio Scotland:
“The number of drug related deaths in 2024 is going to be published on Tuesday from 2023 there was another record with 1339 deaths, a three fold increase in 10 years”
I asked the Q online “Scottish drug deaths in 2023” ?
Answer – 1172……
Then I also asked online the Q “Scottish drug deaths in 2020” ?
Answer – a “record high of 1339″…..
Double checked these dates/figures via Public Health Scotland published stats…….
Guess what….. MSM Monitor was right….as PRS were the ones who published these actual correct figures for 2020 and 2023……..
Lucy from the BBC aka amateur broadcasting station then reversed the dates/figures to then try to promote yet another #SNPBAD piece….perhaps to deflect from the current #LabourBad story…..via the really big current Scottish political story just now……as in the one in Scotland regarding Labour MSP Colin Smyth….as in the same political story in Scotland that the BBC and some others are all trying to minimise as being a significant #LabourBad political story….mainly as it is involving , for them, the #WrongPoliticalParty…………..as in it is not the SNP…as in their chosen political baddies.
So basically BBC Scotland’s Lucy Whyte was not only wrong but she was also, via a UK wide ‘national’ broadcaster, reporting fake news as being the actual real news , at a time when her employer, the BBC, have a specific department called ‘BBC Verify’ that supposdley checks , as in verifies, news for it’s……accuracy…..as the BBC, like other mainstream media , are often heard to accuse social media as being untrustworthy and unreliable as those that they, the BBC, say are promoting….Fake News !
BBC really do need to look in the Mirror…..more hypocrisy……ad lies.
I think I can see yet another complaint….to be added onto the (growing list of) BBC ‘Corrections and clarifications’ section/department against BBC Scotland news…so they will have to add, once more, yet another piece of misinformation that has now been broadcast by their branch office in Scotland……
The BBC, a supposed Public broadcaster that, as a also (supposed) news service does a disservice to the public as opposed to providing a service…….as they mostly communicate FAKE in respect to “news where we are”………
Of course in them providing fake news that is then broadcast to the detriment of the SNP they also try to omit or minimise (in significance) any news that they assume will damage other political parties in opposition to the SNP, currently Labour is the one that they, the BBC in Scotland, are trying to protect and so get elected next year in the Scottish elections.
BBC Scotland news, which as a (pretend) Scottish branch office of the BBC, seems to be run like some sub standard amateur media (fake) news channel or as an already well established version of the newly formed rogue ‘news’ channel GB News…..where propaganda and fake news lives and all other actual and real news goes to die…….via both of them (GB News & BBC News).

At last , in public on a public forum, (more of) the truth comes out……..
As Rupert Lowe , who often (falsely) promotes Britain and British patriotism and also that he thinks Scotland should be , “once again” , under the thumb of a dominant and oppressive UK (English) government who rule in a WM (English) parliament only……. (with devolution ended)…..
As he tweeted yesterday on behalf of the only nation that he really wants to promote, support and defend…..as in the only dominant nation within his UK (England via politics and media)….a UK which he also sees as being synonymous with his own “country” ….that is his England.
Lowe tweeted this on ‘X’ yesterday :

(I have added the bold onto significant words in his post).
(He included, with his tweet , four pictures displaying the flying of the English flag and not the Butcher’s Apron one……….which were all flying within his “country”, England ……and in his English Constituency……….as in Britain van GTF as far as Rupert is concerned…..Britain is only a pretence , a fake country, for the likes of Rupert to try to con those in other nations within the UK who are not English).
Pass it on to other Scots…..that people like Rupert Lowe give not a fig for Britain as a fake country….they care only for themselves (and their personal wealth….increasing) and also only care that their country of birth, England, should gather precious resources from other nations within the UK, to then both profit from them and also utilise them as essential sources of energy and also necessary for the sustaining of life itself, as in Water (not abundant in England apparently but abundant in some other nations within the UK so worth stealing for Rupert’s “Country”).
So it is English Nationalism that is presented as British Nationalism but then when they think they can get away with it, though do they even care what we think, they then are proud to promote their English Nationalism…..as in it is always England First with them.
This is the same Rupert Lowe once considered suitable for Reform UK as one of their MP’s , whose personal ambition led him to be suspended from Reform UK….as he dared to challenge Herr Farage’s leadership….but it seemed Rupert’s existing English Nationalism was not a problem for Reform UK….in fact I am sure it matched Farage’s and also many others within that pretend party…. as those having the same opinion and same perception as Rupert Lowe …..in who they want to be the top Dog within their UK as in those controlling it………which is of course …..#EnglandUberAlles…..but only with a Far Right pretend party in charge…..existing only to to ‘Make The Rich Richer’ (themselves too…of course)…..
Wake up Scotland (though those who are staunch are a lost cause….as they are consumed by Hate and so totally oppose all Hope…especially for Scotland).

Carswell lives in Mississippi….which has a history of segregation….so he will fit in nicely as one who channels his inner white Supremacist via his racist tweets….perhaps he is campaigning to bring it, segregation, back….as for him it seems ‘(Only) White Lives Matter’………..and so only ‘White people should live in his England’ and perhaps he also thinks that is the case in his new adopted country…..as in Trump’s America too…………
You know I wonder where Scotland would be now had it voted YES in 2014….I mean surely to God not where we are now….that’s for sure….as we are in ******* UK Hell……
