Professor John Robertson OBA
Thanks once again to Dottie for alerting me to this.
In Private Eye No 1651, this week, the above report on their Freedom of Information Request revealing millions of fines issued to often confused ands subsequently traumatised vulnerable people.
The report goes on to quote a charity chief:

Had the Scottish Government not maintained free prescriptions these last 18 years, based on these figures, we might expect around 280 000 such fines causing anxiety and distress here.
This is not the first sign of the wider benefits of Scotland’s long-standing commitment to free prescriptions for all.

The so called fraud cases in England will be no doubt reliant on a private company decisions possibly AI.
I think some of the main meds used in bakers is produced in Scotland, which is good.
The scary, very scary thing is, should the English government take back control of f the Scottish parliament, one of the first things they’ll do will be to scrap free prescriptions, scrap free tuition, impose bridge tolls again, privatise the ferries and ScotRail, and sell off Scottish Water, just as a start. Oh and they’ll remove the Scottish child payments.
If the SNP don’t make sure to outline exactly what will happen as soon as the English government were to oust the SNP, people will be conned by BritNat propaganda.
Yikes.
