In the Guardian today:
Rachel Reeves has effectively cut £2.5bn from the government’s national energy company by sharing the £8.3bn it was promised with a separate nuclear power body set up by the Conservatives.
The Labour manifesto had pledged the full amount to Great British Energy to invest in clean power projects. However, the chancellor’s spending review said the company would share this funding with a separate body tasked with spearheading Britain’s nuclear renaissance.
The Treasury’s spending plans said the “two allied publicly owned companies with a shared mission” would spend the £8.3bn on “homegrown clean power” including £2.5bn to help the UK develop a new generation of small modular nuclear reactors.
A reminder of why the Scottish Government will do all it can to keep these unproven and highly risky installations out of Scotland:

Labour and Tory are all the same here in Scotland we don’t want nuclear.
Here is an interesting one.

Ah but what about the A9 and Ferries

As commented previously, that is why there was all the hullaballoo over HeebeeGeebeeEnergy being HQd in Aberdeen, and the renewed desperation to foist nuclear on Scotland despite not needing it by the last SoSS, reprised twice by the state of a Secretary for Greggs, with the “dark” side being brought on lately starring Brian Wilson.
GBE has been a year long scam in plain sight for Scots, but a 40+ year old scam on the populace of Southern England – London/Westminster is in deep shit because they cannot admit they ignored repeated warnings over depleting energy and water, and are now out of time to fix either of them.
The water conservation measure they should have done, the nuclear plants they should have built, the ROs they should have built, the Water Companies they should have reigned in, the joined up thinking and forward planning expected of any government has been missing in inaction for the last 50 years
