Since 2012 The Peatland ACTION Programme has set over 51,000 ha of degraded peatland on the road to recovery.

In April 2019 The Scottish Government lead the nation in declaring a global climate emergency. In recognition that peatland restoration offers a clear nature-based solution to both the climate crisis and biodiversity loss the Scottish Government announced, early the following year, a multi-annual investment in peatland restoration of more than £250 million up to 2030.
This is the type of good news story that the British media most definitely DON’T want the people of Scotland to know anything about!!!

just the usual behaviour of the British State Unionist press. It results in most Scots know absolutely nothing about Scottish politics and the press further misleading the people by directing them to blame the SNP Scottish Government. As Steve Bannon said when promoting Trump, “flood the zone with shit and no one will know truth from lies”. I misquote but you get the point.

Yep and sh*t sticks, and that’s why the British nationalist parties and their compliant ‘media’ keep up that policy and assault against Scotland.

Indeed.
However that is , as you say “the type of good news story that the British media most definitely DON’T want the people of Scotland to know anything about”.
One point I will make is that any “good news” in the past , present and the future that did ,does and will get out regarding Scotland, is then attributed only or mainly to either the previous Tory UK government or now the current Labour UK government. (and this will also apply with any future UK government).
Where the “Good news” is apparently only due to a UK government’s influence or what they, the Tories and Labour UK governments and their media, allege as being all of the supposed increased funding by them as UK governments to Scotland’s government, as also apparently, that then was in the past , still is now and will be in the future the only thing that enables the SNP , as the Scottish government, to implement this , that and the next thing for Scotland.
So that too is used as a way to stop “the people of Scotland” from knowing “anything about it” , as in the truth via actuals facts , where the SNP have initiated something that benefits Scotland (and then this as news is twisted by both UK parties and their respective media in them both lying, as in them spinning the truth, via omission and fabrication).
Unfortunately it seems to be that many of the public in Scotland were and still are willing to believe the media.
They are also willing to still believe Labour too, as last year when the media presented Labour as the “Saviours” of Scotland, Labour then won 37 MP seats in Scotland, however that has now been exposed as a blatant lie , a lie promoted by both the media and also by the Labour party.
So the big Q is , will those who voted Labour last year in Scotland finally see the error that they made last year in voting for Labour, then will they also identify who convinced them to make that error (media and Labour party) and so finally will they then decide to only vote for the only party who has their best interests at heart, the SNP.
I hope so, as this fool me once etc etc is now becoming past a joke as to how willing some people in Scotland are open to being continually fooled by the same politicians and the same media, in them, as people in Scotland, ending up being confronted with no change or great progress in their lives from what they (and we) suffered with previous UK governments.
This happens time and time again (indeed they and us, as the public in Scotland, must always suffer the opposite of what we were promised would happen. .
That is now a rinse and repeat exercise , when they as (some) voters in Scotland , still keep voting for the wrong parties as recommended by the wrong media.
Good spot JB , and yes it is funny how this is not being promoted as much by the media here in Scotland in the supposed, but clearly not , “news where we are”, where we then have to undertake some research in order to seek out this kind of “Good” news from an alternative source , as the media here are way way way more concerned and focused upon always promoting #SNPBAD on a loop.
Vote SNP in 2026 as a first step to us eventually getting this kind of “Good news” from an actual Scottish media in the future, as in when we are finally independent and then hopefully free from what currently masquerades as being a so called ‘Scottish’ media (INO).
A media , so called, that supposedly brings us the “news where we are” but clearly does not bring all of the “news where were are” as they as a media , seem to be very selective in the news that they want to tell us about “where we are”, as their news needs to include redactions and omissions to try and destroy the SNP and so, they hope, increase support for other parties.
(They, as a media, are also desperately trying to destroy support for Independence increasing and so they try to sustain what is , for some people in Scotland, an obvious half hearted and lacklustre support for the UK, while some others , also a minority in Scotland, will always want to remain a part of what is clearly a UK cult movement).
Thank God the rest of us can see what’s what as far as the pro UK media and the Pro UK political parties are concerned, where resistance is not futile but will eventually yield the desired outcome , that is, Scottish independence, and when the penny finally drops for others in Scotland, as in when they begin to see how much and how far both the media and the UK political parties have always tried to to pull the proverbial wool over their eyes time and time again then they will be the ones that helps us become independent, a nation speaks, at last, (as ONE).

I also did some other research.
Research that is NOT “Good news” for Anas Sarwar and Labour. (that, as a situation, is now becoming a habitual position for Sarwar and Labour)
I looked on MSM Monitor Twitter account.
He has a video where in a September 2024 Radio interview the BBC’s Gary Robertson asks a straight forward direct Q that should then have received a straight forward direct answer from the interviewee, Anas Sarwar.
However instead this is what was given as a response to the Q asked by Gary Robertson which was as a Q:
“Can you tell us when Bills will start to come down as a result of GB Energy” ?
The verbatim response from Sarwar (aka gobblygook waffle):
“Well look we have got to move quickly , we don’t have time to waste in the race for Net zero, we don’t have time to waste in bringing people’s bills down and that’s why we’ve gone straight to work with a record number of rewards around the, eh rewarding around the next stage of projects , we want GB Energy up and running , this stage three of the legislation”
So Gary then asks again “So when will bills come down as a result of this establishment” ?
(BTW Sarwar kept talking when GR had to once again ask the same Q again as Sarwar had obviously not answered Robertson’s Q when first asked , note Sarwar talking over an interviewer’s Q’s is something that Sarwar often does as a way of not addressing (answering) the Q being asked, aka him not having an answer that is acceptable and also him then having to concede that Labour have failed to do what they promised to do).
Sarwar’s response : “Well I’m hoping we can get bills down as soon as possible“
Ha bloody Ha , Sarwar says “We” , he means Labour HQ of course, and he is only “Hoping” that it will be as “soon as possible”, in other words he does not know as it is not up to him as a decision.
Sarwar just repeats what Labour HQ tell him to say, also it seems it has now “Changed” from what was formerly a definite we, Labour, “will bring bills down” to them now “hoping” that “we can get bills down” on a timescale that is “as soon as possible”.
So is it then a kind of ‘How long is a piece of string’ time length or should this promise by Labour be filed under “Not happened and probably will not happen as yet another pledge that was promised by Labour in 2024”.
GB Energy has not reduced energy bills indeed energy bills are set to increase yet again under this new Labour UK government.
GB Energy has no formal employees as yet in Scotland so they are also not creating jobs here either.
So where are all of these “rewards” that Sarwar said are happening via GB Energy projects and who is getting these “rewards”, as it sure as Hell is not Scotland.
I mean the UK Energy Secretary tweeted that some English Schools and Hospitals will be those involved in the “First project of GB Energy” with them then seeing “cuts to their bills in green energy initiatives being implemented for them only , so far, and not for the country (Scotland) where GB Energy’s HQ is based.
How about asking Sarwar why that is ?
Though that would be a waste of time as Sarwar does not give ‘straight answers to direct Q’s’ instead he deflects in either saying #SNPBAD and also keeps speaking words (meaningless waffle) that offer no further insight as an answer, in his supposed but clearly not , poor responses.
Vote SNP in 2026 as would you trust Sarwar as the next Scottish FM ?
I think not, all of the evidence is online that proves why Sarwar as the next FM in Scotland would be a bad thing to happen for Scotland, however the MSM in Scotland are trying to hide all of the #LABOURBAD news while also hiding all of the #SNPGOOD news as a way to try to get votes for Sarwar’s Labour party in 2026 while also trying to ensure these votes are gained (stolen) from mainly those seats that are held by the SNP.
