Not one anti-semitic violent attack recorded in Scotland in 2024 and only one misogynistic leaflet in ‘Northern Scotland’ is mentioned in report

The Talking-up Scotland fund raiser primarily to enable the recruitment of some research assistance, in order to take pressure off me [74 in June and tiring] and hopefully to further improve the blog, has made a good start. The report on anti-semitic attacks in the UK in 2024, from the CST, published today has prompted some excited media coverage but not, yet, in Scotland. Watch out for the Herald to dream up something.

From Antisemitic Incidents 2024:

CST recorded 3,528 antisemitic incidents in the UK in 2024, the second-highest total ever reported to CST in a single calendar year.

Only one of the cases could be described by the researchers as ‘Extreme Violence include any antisemitic attack with the potential or intention of causing loss of life or grievous bodily harm (GBH).’ 126 cases were described as ‘violent.’ None of these took place in Scotland.

74 of these all cases reported took place in Scotland, with 8% of the UK population so, per head of population, that would be equivalent to just below 900, around a quarter of the rate.

Bizarrely the only case reported in Scotland and used in the report is this:

A series of antisemitic leaflets were seen in northern Scotland. They were produced by the Goyim Defence League and claimed that “Every Single Aspect Of Feminism Is Jewish”

  1. If only the media ( especially in Scotland ) had treated sectarianism with the same relish that they have responded to anything remotely anti-semitic then we might not still have the unsavoury marches by the musically challenged , orange polyester-clad , quasi-military neanderthals who pollute our streets FAR too often !

    1. Yet this article is about there being no cases of anti semitism in Scotland, not even remotely, and of course the media in Scotland re BBC, STV, and the daily right wing rags are all HQ’d in London.

  2. Sometimes even just voicing your opposition to Israel’s actions against the Palestinian people is, for some, apparent proof of your anti-Semitism.

This is of course to try and shut down that opposition.

  3. Traditional news outlets over centuries newspapers and more recently the advent of Radio and TV have had a virtual monopoly on propaganda and with it their influence on all political parties/policies. Now with falling sales and new alternative sources it is fascinating to hear their faux outrage about social media and their attempts to have it more stringently regulated / restricted. Desperate stuff.

  4. It would not surprise me in the least were such accusations to appear – Israeli propaganda over many years (since Golda Meier ?) has engineered the definition of and modern understanding of ‘anti-semitism’ such that actions criticised of the Israeli state were automatically ‘anti-semitic’.
The best way to view the Israeli state from studied experts in the field (including Israelis) was Israel had the choice of security or expansionism, they went for the latter, hence the wholly engineered definition of ‘anti-semitism’.
I’ve encountered many an individual who has swallowed the ‘koolade’ and uttered the most preposterous comment, the most recent relating to female captives held by Hamas, that they would have been systematically raped.
Any muslim who made the slightest move to defile a female under their custody would have his head cut off followed by his dick, and believe it or not, Hamas for all their perceived ‘sins’ adhere rigidly to the teachings of the Koran.
My ‘depute’ engineer in Gaza Majed, a highly intelligent man and trained as an engineer, came out with the most preposterous statement one day because a muslim ‘cleric’ had declared it as fact – That an aeroplane would ascend to cruising altitude, wait for the planet to revolve, then land – I argued the point as an engineer and he agreed but could not reconcile the conflict with what a cleric had declared, and was obliged to follow the ‘cleric’s teaching – He possibly still believes it to this day despite his cerebral conflicts, but it perfectly illustrates the dangers of propaganda….
