MSPs were threatened with expulsion from the Holyrood chamber amid a raucous First Minister’s Questions which saw John Swinney accuse Jackie Baillie of giving false information about the NHS.
Baillie had lied about NHS Scotland A&E waiting times. She criticised the ‘SNP’s‘ handling of A&E performance, saying: “Each week the First Minister says sorry and each week it gets worse.” The SNP leader said Dame Jackie’s assertions were “not true”.
The FM was correct in pointing out that an increasing percentage has been seen [full ED] in 4 successive weeks from 56.7% to 62.4% by week-ending January 12th 2025.1
He did not, though I would have, mention that in NHS England, at the end of December 2024 [They do not publish weekly], the figure for NHS England [Type 1] was only 55.3%.2
This 7% difference seems small but remember, I’d have told the chamber, it means thousands more in Scotland seen on time and hundreds of thousands in England not seen on time.
Meanwhile in Wales, there are plans to try to restore faith in politics, including by creating a criminal offence of deception which would end up in the criminal courts.3
Who might have most to fear this?
Which parties lied most in 2019 General Election? They’re were all at it, other than the SNP and the greens.4

Damn Jaikie will continue to lie at Holyrood – after all , it’s lying that got her her unionist ‘title’. She will be after a Peerage now so she can shake of the foreign soil of Scotland and retire to the House of Horrors with the many other liars ( aka Scottish Labour peers ).

The Tories underfunded the NHS for 14 years. The Scottish Gov had to mitigate the cuts.
Scotland paying £Billion for Trident and redundant weaponry, putting Scotland in danger. Brexit costing £Billions Scotland did not vote for it. £Billion lost on HS2 & Hickley Point. £13Billions year funding nuclear decommissioning. £Billions lost in tax evasion.

Good, expose the liars by all means, but the question has to be asked, and this is the root of the problem, why do so many Scots believe these people? Probably brainwashing over three centuries, which continues unabated till this day.
