I’m aware of no other service in the world obliged to published daily data of this kind but you can read of the many ferry fiascos from Greece to Alaska, here: https://talkingupscotlandtwo.com/?s=ferr

Doesn’t sound like failing ferries to me.

The Herald and BBC Scotland, if they have a ‘ferry’ story, will headline it “Islanders slam Calmac as sailings on 17, November PLUMMET to nearly half.”

Or, perhaps, “Swinney DENIES that Calmac puts passengers; lives at risk with nearly 250 sailings during a storm.”

Congratulations on the ” The Herald’s Ferry Correspondent of the Year 2024 ” award John, didn’t see anything about this in Scotland’s media, presumably they were playing submarines in keeping it all low quay whilst promoting Anas wi teeth again… 😂

Yes, I didn’t see John on the Heralds photo page, but congratulations on a well deserved award for Ferry Correspondent of the year.
Was it a good do and did you hide the chocolate roulade from Jackie?

70,000 islanders. 34 ferries. 1 innovative saving fuel. 5 on order. One ferry per 2,000 islanders. Cheaper subsidised ferries and flights. Better than some bus services. People like islander life. Orkney one of the best places in the world to live. Happier people and more prosperous.

The Glen Sannox will not be saving fuel till it runs on LNG, which will be a few years away when the shore facilities are ready.
