Sarwar humiliated as latest poll predicts SNP to gain 39 seats in next General Election

Based on polling on 11-15 October 2024, Electoral Calculus predict Labour in England would hold on but with a reduced majority in the next General Election.

In Scotland, however, it is predicted that the SNP would return to 48 seats with the other 9 held by a resurgent Conservatives in North-East and South Scotland and, at best, one Labour MP in Edinburgh South.

This is a shocking condemnation of Scottish Labour and of millionaire Anas Sarwar’s leadership.

  1. Well its not very reliable right now given the loss of Salmond, SNP resistance to a sensible approach to the holyrood election and a continuity plan to deliver another spanking in 2026

Well he will have reaped what he has sown then.

Promoting and spreading Labour lies about “Change” and “Fresh Starts”.

Then after Labour UK were elected as the new UK government in July all they have created is an even worse situation than the previous lot, as in the Tories.

Delivering Jack Sh*t as far as supposed , but clearly not, “real Change” and a “Fresh Start” is concerned.

Lying does have consequences for the Liars.

In politics that should mean liars losing subsequent elections.

  4. For the 2026 PR Holyrood elections we need to go with SNP 1 ALBA 2 Scottish Socialists for Independance 3. If we do SNP 1 SNP2 We are letting a unionist party in.

  5. SNP deserve feck all after their criminal treatment of the man who made all of them. The Augean Stables of that shameful Party need a deep-clean before Scotland can ever become independent.

  6. It looks like the Scots have already learned that Anas Sarwar’s promises that there would be no austerity under Labour and that voting for his Scottish Labour Party was the only way to rid Scotland of Tory MPs were not worth the paper on which they had been written in the Labour Party’s HQ.

‘Scottish Labour Party’ is a description registered with the Electoral Commission by the Labour Party for use in Scotland by candidates who are Labour Party members.

‘Scottish Labour Party’ is the name of a Labour Party Accounting Unit Branch registered with the Electoral Commission by the Labour Party.

The Scottish Labour Party is not registered as a GB Political Party with the Electoral Commission and therefore cannot field candidates in any election held in Scotland, England or Wales.

    1. Labour’s 2024 GE Manifesto includes a section from Scottish Labour written by Anas sarwar.

      In it he writes:

“People are fed up with politicians who focus only on their own priorities and put party before country”.

(Yet Labour MP’s elected in Scotland have done just that. Voted with the party , with their own priority being their keeping the Labour whip, as who in the country that elected them , would want them to vote in the HOC to cut the winter fuel allowance for pensioners and keep the Tories two child cap).

      He also wrote:

“The second step towards the change that Scotland needs is at the next Scottish Parliament election, when we have the opportunity to fix the SNP’s mess by electing a Scottish Labour government”

(Note how he mentions the word “mess” in relation to the SNP and how they ‘Scottish’ Labour can have an “opportunity to fix it”. This makes one think that should the unthinkable happen and Labour become the next Scottish government then what are the chances that they will also, like Labour UK, renege on their pledges that could have helped them to win. Their (weak) excuse being that the SNP have left such a “mess” behind that they are unable to “fix” it immediately and so they are unable to fulfil all that they promised the voters they would definitely do if they won the Scottish election).

This BTW is the same Anas Sarwar who accused the SNP of “always blaming others” yet all he , and his Labour UK colleagues seem to do, is “always blame others”.

The arrogance of him in that he thinks he is entitled and justified to blame the SNP and others while also declaring that the SNP are not allowed to do the same against him, the Labour UK party or others, like the Tories , as the former UK government.

Truth being it is justified for the SNP to blame many others, including Labour, for the position Scotland is in and that is mainly down to Scotland still being a part of the UK and so subject to it’s control and also to the many bad political decisions being made via the various UK governments.

So not so much a ‘Scottish’ Labour Manifesto , more a case of ‘Scottish’ Labour propaganda, with Anas Sarwar dictating much of the spin and lies for his Labour UK.

    2. But John, they told us that on the doorsteps in 2015. Why, oh why did they then go back on that commitment this year? Why? No matter what opinion polls say, the harm is done, and will remain with us for at least until 2030. Even then, it won’t get any better, as we will still be under Westminster’s boot.
