Thanks to Linda Graham of Broadcasting Scotland (Support them!) for alerting me to the above dramatic image that sums up just how bad it is to stay in the UK.
Two years ago, I wrote:
Post-Brexit, Ireland has become almost completely free of its former dependency on congested and expensive land routes, through England from Liverpool to the channel ferries at Calais.
Thomas Byrne, Ireland’s Minister for European Affairs, told RTÉ News in 2021:
“The whole port, the [Nord Pas de Calais] region, the [Dunkirk] chamber of commerce, is behind this, to get even more connections to Ireland. We only had 12 direct routes to France before Brexit, now it’s 44. We are looking as well next summer towards tourism to get Irish tourists into this region, but also of course, tourists from Northern France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. They have more direct routes into Ireland too.”https://trans.info/en/yet-more-growth-in-shipping-routes-between-ireland-and-european-mainland-258036
Why might Scotland need more ferry routes to Europe?
Only Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland and the North East of England were net exporters of goods.https://www.ons.gov.uk/businessindustryandtrade/internationaltrade/bulletins/internationaltradeinuknationsregionsandcities/2020
How many ferry routes do we have to export those goods?
None as yet.
Are the Scottish MSM interested?
There’s been an announcement of one but not even BBC Scotland Business have it. Just the DR today:
A new ferry link between Scotland and mainland Europe is set to launch in spring 2023, and while it will initially be for freight only, passenger transportation could soon follow
https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/scotland-now/new-ferry-route-between-scotland-28436043
It didn’t.
Are Scotland’s MSM interested in other types of ferry fiasco story?

In an abusive relationship the dominant ( bully ) partner always attempts to isolate the weaker partner by severing links /relationships with others . This is to increase their dependence on the bully and to reduce their opportunities to be supported by friends thereby diminishing their self-esteem .
I give you Scotland V UK !

There’s strong correlation between how the uk gov treats Scotland and how narcissistic behaviour manifests itself. Narcissists, like the UK / English gov, treat their victims first and foremost as a resource, both get really upset when their behaviour is exposed, are compulsive and inveterate liars, are completely unrepentant of any wrong doing they may have done and throw their dummies out the pram when challenged. There’s a lot more which I don’t need list to here, I’m sure you see the point.
When we say the UK is sick, it really is.

I am sure we have all seen how BBC went after the SNP over the story below.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-68418793
I note they are not so keen in reporting this story.
Two senior Scottish Labour MSPs have publicly backed calls for Keir Starmer to reverse the winter fuel payment cut. Former deputy leader Alex Rowley and former leader Richard Leonard.
