In a new article, researchers from the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) and partner institutions in France, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the USA who are studying the effects of persistent exposure to low doses of ionizing radiation on workers in nuclear facilities report an increase in mortality due to haematological neoplasms. The findings were published in The Lancet Haematology.
The scientists found a positive association between long-term low-dose exposure to ionizing radiation and mortality due to leukaemia (excluding chronic lymphocytic leukaemia [CLL]), chronic myeloid leukaemia, acute myeloid leukaemia, myelodysplastic syndrome, and multiple myeloma.
The scientists estimated that the mortality rate due to leukaemia increased by more than 250%.

Talking-up Scotland 'Albatraz' 
Yup, Scotland is self sufficient in gas, oil and has enough electricity to have NET exports of 16 TWh (imagine how Germany would thank us for that), mostly to England in 2023. We also have the best tidal potential and lots of empty hillsides for solar and trees. Scotland led the way with wind power investment, yet Gordo Broon decided all the incentives and grants for wind infrastructure would be only for the east coast of England–ignoring the BiFab workforce in his own Costa Del Fifee.
Anas “Pavlov” Sarwar has no interest in what is beneficial for Scotland, only to listen to his “Masters Voice”, like his ScotLab* predecessors.
*ScotLab–a mutt specially bred for absolute obedience and utter Loyalty to the King, Westminster, Union flag-shaggin’, ra’ ‘Gers and the Beeb, and total disdain for US, the people (especially the poor and the elderly).

While agreeing with all you say Gavin, I’m afraid it’s our own fault that we are still under Westminster’s boot. We had the chance in 2014, and funked it. So really the blame for the situation we now find ourselves in is us, at least those Scots who voted No.

I noticed too that they all begin with the letter ‘R‘ .
Where collectively they all could be filed under ‘R’ for Rotten and also ‘R‘ for Rubbish. (Rats works too).
Not sure what ‘C’ Labour could be filed under for their “Change” slogan but I do have one suggestion that is very much not appropriate to add , as a word, onto this blog.
However if the Cap fits then they , Labour, can wear it !
