Talking-up Scotland xtwitter followers.
I’ve been a bit disappointed with TuS reader numbers recently. Rarely getting 2 000 a day and hardly ever approaching the 5 to 6 000 some days in 2020.
However, after stumbling on ABC DATA for the multi-staffed Scottish local and national newspapers, I feel less concerned and also somewhat taken aback. Examples below. Check your own local at the link.

TuS is doing a fantastic job so keep up the good work!
it just seems as if buoyed on by the GE that the MSM is doubling down on its editorial partisanship. I call out BBC (in) Scotland in particular. Without sites like yours there is just no challenge to such totalitarian media.

Why so few readers?

I wouldn’t worry about numbers. Both X and FB are manipulating figures for certain accounts and I’m certain this one is a priority. As I’ve mentioned before, no sooner have I posted on FB than the post is removed. There’s no other viable reason other than the support for independence. X doesn’t remove my posts, but there’s manipulation there too. Other independence posters have complained that their followers have vanished in their hundreds. Apart from that there are the arch unionists who regularly jump on these posts and quickly rubbish them. Whether what they say is true or not is irrelevant because their followers, whether they actually believe it or not, agree and repost their often nonsensical tweets. We can only keep on going. In 2015 I posted a meme on FB called Westminster’s Plan. It’s even more relevant today than it was then. We have no option – no matter how Doun Hauden we feel, there’s no alternative.

There are many people wondering the same as you and majority conclusions are that there is an effort being made to stop non right wing people communicating with each other apparently it is very noticeable on X
