Steady fall in callout pressure on Police Scotland as staffing stabilises

The above data are from a Freedom of Information request to Police Scotland responded to on 30 July 2024 and, of course, missed by ‘our’ MSM.

Against a background of staffing stability, we see a 155 485 or 16% reduction in callouts in only 5 years.1

There are currently 16 234 police officers in Scotland2, 27 or 0.16% fewer than in 2007 when crime was 50% higher3.

  1. Surprised that this FOI request made it into the public sphere as it clearly does NOT do what these are SUPPOSED to show – the failings of that SNPeeee !

Sarwar and DRoss and Coal-Scuttle’s raison d’etre is to find the most obscure stats which show the Scottish Government in a poor light . These Police stats will be dutifully ignored by all Unionists !

  2. Wasting public monies on malicious complain that does not stand up in Court. Too many charged for mild misdemeanours, instead of giving a caution. Courts delayed years. People on remand.
