I hope the police in Scotland are onto this and get it stopped, a mammoth task I am sure. The English police should be helping Scotland expel these criminals, but as they are dealing with them in England, we may see more imposing themselves onto Scottish towns and villages.
There is a pyramid when it comes to drugs, they have to go after those at the top, again, a mammoth task.

The way to stop drug abuse and earlier death is to provide, total abstinence, proper rehab facilities.To help users and offenders to get well again. To reduce drug use and cuckooing. In order to reduce offence and make people less dependent on drugs and healthier. No customers. No dealers supplying the death trap.
Break the cycle. Reduces use, waste and public services. Higher support networks and less crime. There is a link to drug/alcohol use and crime. The Police are acting as social welfare support. Neurodiverse people should be given help, support and diagnosis. Sometimes resorting to drug or drink.
There are healthier routes than drug or alcohol misuse to alienate feeling of nervousness and anxiety. Then become addicted to some prescription drugs and take other substances. Prescription methadone and then taking other substances lead to all the drug deaths in Scotland. Methadone over time is more deadlier than heroin. The drug of choice in now cocaine and ketamine. Addictive but less deadly.
The Scottish Gov are funding proper, total abstinence drug facilities by £250Million over five years. Proper rehab facilities have increased. One in Dundee and in the Borders. More people are now being referred to proper services. People with drug and alcohol issues should approach NA and AA to be guided and helped to proper help and facilities. More younger people are going for help. A welcome sign to rehabilitation and less use. More knowledge is available.
