BBC Scotland has never mentioned the English cities from which these gangsters travel to terrorise small towns and villages across Scotland while STV has done so 16 times – they refuse to respond despite the new data offered as proof

New complaint today:

In an earlier response to me, on the plague of extreme violence, cheap drugs and child abuse perpetrated by exclusively English city-based County Lines gangs, BBC Scotland senior news editors have insisted “there is no substance in your suggestion that BBC Scotland is “Uniquely…hiding this phenomenon.” I have carried out a Google search for ‘BBC Scotland County Lines’ and for ‘STV County Lines.’ The results are that, since 2019 when these gangs were first known of, BBC Scotland has only twice ever mentioned ‘County lines’ in a headline while STV has done so 14 times. In a further single case, BBC Scotland has mentioned ‘County Lines’ in the text while STV has done so 22 times. BBC Scotland has never mentioned the English cities from which these gangsters travel to terrorise small towns and villages across Scotland while STV has done so 16 times. Police Scotland estimate up to 60 of these places. How do you explain as a taxpayer-funded public service provider, your abject failure to inform your audience so that they may be warned of this enormous risk to them and their families?

In the last few minutes:

Dear Prof Robertson, In our previous response, we explained that we cannot correspond with you further at this stage of the complaints process and explained how to contact the BBC’s Executive Complaints Unit (ECU) if you remained unhappy – the ECU is stage 2 of the BBC’s complaints process. More detail on how our process works is available here.

They have no answer.

  1. Let us not kid ourselves. What you say as to why BBC Scotland do not report the cross county line gangs entering Scotland is absolutely true. They do not wish to upset the constitution which is the british nationalist project known as Unionism, which, like brexit, didn’t work. But that is another story.
If bbc Scotland report this heinous act of terror by those gangs entering Scotland from England it links “them”,with”us”, on the dire drugs deaths that happen in Scotland.
But that must never happen, after all it is not only a “Scottish Problem “, but exclusively an SNP BAD predicament.

    1. It’s all orchestrated, they will be paid to enter Scotland and operate in Scotland, designed to create havoc, make sure folks are scared, make sure some are forced into ciminality,
ruin peace in Scotland’s rural areas, with intention of it spreading, accuse SNP of being the cause of this, take down ScotGov SNP.
Just watching what’s been happening in Venezuela, (a left wing VERY oil rich country that’s been sanctioned by the US and Europe), and Maduro talks about the drugs being imported which of course has been happening for a long time, creating divide, ensuring violence and poverty among the people. Classic tactics, scary.

  2. Well done in your tenacity of ‘refusing to let ‘off the hook’,

    the TAXPAYER FUNDED “EBC/State Broadcaster”

    and their non-stop English bias.

They’re dishonest and an utter disgrace.

    1. They always will.

They are above the likes of you and I.

Look at the privacy afforded their own presenters when facing a criminal investigation as against the way a certain former First Minister was treated before any charges were ever brought.

When Scotland is independent and looking for broadcasters, I’d be sure to tell the “beeb” that they are not wanted, making sure those who ever worked for it are treated likewise.

  4. Our Public Service Provider….the one we all pay for didn’t even mention this….NHSGGC welcomes hundreds of new junior doctors
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has welcomed 277 new junior doctors to the health board.

This year’s intake of newly qualified doctors will begin their healthcare careers across our hospitals and healthcare facilities including the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and the Royal Hospital for Children.

The first-year doctors will take part in a week long induction that includes spending time shadowing current trainees before embarking on their rotations across hospital departments on Wednesday, 7th August 2024.

Working across a variety of different disciplines and specialties including general medicine, surgery and paediatrics, the influx of junior doctors will play a critical role in supporting our medical teams while bringing a fresh perspective to our services.

Director of Medical Education at NHSGGC, Colin Perry, said: “I am delighted to welcome our junior doctors to the organisation. The detailed and carefully planned induction highlights our dedication and commitment to providing the highest standard of patient care by fostering the next generation of healthcare professionals.

“Our junior doctors will play a critical role in the future of the NHS, and they have worked extremely hard to get where they are today.”

Each junior doctor will be supported throughout this period with an ongoing induction programme as well as mentoring from senior members of staff.

The Clyde sector, which includes the IRH, is also preparing for newly qualified nurses to join its teams from the end of September.

The practice education team is making finishing touches for the upcoming induction week.

This will provide support and guidance to our new colleagues through the transition from student to registrant.

We would like to warmly welcome everyone into their new nursing posts and wish them great success in their new roles.
