  2. New Labour MP Shanks ……Labour Friend of Israel…so no “Change” there then…(Michael Shanks ….no relation to Edward Long (should be a hyphen) Shanks…but similar in how he, as a Labour MP, wants to treat Scotland….LOL)

    So I wonder was Michael ‘I’m my own man’ Shanks a Labour Friend of Israel…..before or after becoming a Labour MP…..

    I ask because prior to him becoming a Labour MP he was formerly a Labour member….but resigned from the party because of their position on Brexit…..as in according to him they, Labour party, failed to oppose it strongly enough……but here’s a laugh….now that they, Labour, are pro Brexit then and only then does Michael ‘ I’m my own’ Shanks stand as a Labour candidate for the Labour party…..fickle or what ?

    Though there is another difference between then and now….before Jeremy Corbyn was Labour leader…..now Keir Starmer is Labour leader so Michael ‘I’m my own man’ Shanks can say…..”Those were my previous (pretend) principles….but now under a more right wing Labour leader….I find I have other (pretend) principles that allow me to do a 180 degree U turn (like my Labour leader also does constantly) and I have now been baptised as a born again Brexiteer……Lordy Lordy……WTO and NO deal Brexit sounds good to me as a new Labour MP…..(note my rhyming as in ME & MP).

    I think Rutherglen Hamilton West deserve a “Fresh start” in them electing a new MP from a different political party on 4 July in the GE….perhaps one who is more FOR the people rather than always FOR the party…..where his voting record in the HOC demonstrates how much of a party man he really is….just like Ian Murray.

    So what benefit does LFI bring to the table for Scotland ?????…….sorry that should be the LFI brings financial benefits to the Labour party via donations to the party…..mind you after what has happened in Gaza is it wise to have one’s picture, as an MP, showing people that you are a political friend to Israel under the current regime that governs there as in……………

I have no problem with politicians having affiliations with any group, but when it is perceived as influencing political policy which runs contrary to the opinion of the electorate, politicians are on shaky ground – Gaza is but the latest example of such tail wagging the dog politics, but unlike the NHS, Brexit etc. before, this time they have really riled the public.

    In his greed for power and influence Shanks has fatally misjudged both the public mood and that of his constituents, and will be punished for it.
