I’ve mentioned Ian McConnell before. I suspect he helps the Herald owners pretend they’re fair to both sides.

Today, behind their pay wall unfortunately but perhaps not after a day or two, he writes, in part:

  1. brexit was required to get away with the great interest rate robbery EU law would have prevented the elongated high interest rate trick that has been implemented by the bank of england , high interest rates will continue higher than anywhere else in europe until we in uk vote in a political party that is not conservative or labour and that does not look likely soon.

  2. The EU contribution was £2Billion. CAP payments, shared Defence costs, the nearest, biggest market. Preferential market treaties with protectionist US, India and China. The UK now losing £Billions. Scotland did not vote for it. The cost of living going up. The standard of living going down. The Westminster poor, bad decisions.
