More than enough for very home in the UK – Scotland’s stunning renewables and wind power potential revealed in FOI

By Professor John Robertson

From a Freedom of Information request in November 2023 to SNP Cabinet Secretary for Wellbeing Economy, Fair Work and Energy – Neil Gray MSP, to revise the incorrect 25% of Europe’s offshore wind and tidal claim, see this:

  1. so the question is , why are people living in Scotland having to pay the highest charges in the UK for their electricity when it is their own country Scotland that produces it and why are people in every single area of england paying less for their Kwh of electricity when much of it comes from Scotland ?

Well what do we expect when all the money Scotland’s people and resource make has to go through the leaky pockets of the colonial pocklers at Westminister before a few pennies and baubles are tossed to us.

Use the information is every answer you make and follow the money. It goes sooth and ne’er returns. Well time to cut off the flow.

  4. Interesting, but I suspect most Scots expect to see no benefit as it rushes southward.

A 2022 Scottish survey found homes heated 81% by mains gas, 11% by electricity and 5% by oil, it’s not as if the existing 277,000 electric homes are likely to see a discount on the cooked up price pegged against gas per ‘the market’, irrespective of how much is produced – IIRC power is 3 times the price per kWh of gas.

ASHP heating has taken off in England for new builds and very high insulation standards (who would have thought triple glazing would become a ‘must-have’ in southern England where -3 causes panic) as well as switching to EVs, hence the panic to upgrade ‘the grid’ and extra cables running south…

So who will benefit from Scotland’s latest bounty ? Not the Scots for sure, unless we have the courage to say ENOUGH…
