This was not just a Tory defection to Labour….this was a Natalie Elphicke Tory defection to Labour…….
The Labour party , but mostly Starmer, have shot themselves in the foot here……
Plus Sarwar & co are currently canvassing in Scotland for his party for the next GE…..so would be odd , considering this defection is all over most of the UK media, if the media here in Scotland did not raise this questionable defection at HQ with the branch office manager……..
When I say “raise it with him” then I mean that they , the media, should be asking him some serious questions about this decision from HQ to welcome someone like NE into their ranks…..for the media to gloss over this in Scotland that then would reinforce what many of us have been saying….. as in they are protecting Labour from scrutiny and criticism, which given what seems like their stalking of anything and everything connected to the SNP, is then a clear indicator that they, the media, are indeed themselves uniting with Labour in canvassing for Labour candidates to win seats in Scottish constituencies in the forthcoming GE….. which then makes them, the media, as a force, obvious opponents to the SNP.
Today’s Scottish (INO) papers…..the only front pages coverage on Starmer/Elphicke story as in this huge political story is via The Times who have a small headline on it….. as does the I newspaper also have a small headline on it and The Daily Torygraph also has a wee wee story in a section at the bottom of the page on this story but NONE of the other newspaper editions in Scotland have noted this story on their front pages as a major headline…..however plenty of room for John Swinney and his new cabinet , as a main headline on their front pages, that many of the newspapers are dissing as a new cabinet selection…..oh and a couple give a front page mention of Salmond slating the SNP as Scottish government in what he called “pathetic” re delays on A9 dualling ‘vow’ (I’m old enough to remember when they same newspapers were giving Salmond a front page headline where he was the one being accused pre, during and post his trial)……so there you go…confirmation that the current biggest UK political story being covered in all UK versions of TV news channels and many English editions of the newspapers is tactically being ignored by much of media in Scotland or relegated to a minor mention on their front pages…..even the edition of the Torygraph in Scotland refuses to acknowledge it’s significance as a huge UK political story in choosing not to give it a main headline on their front page….so what news are we in Scotland NOT getting where we are….or rather not being told is hugely relevant and significant as political news where we are…..in a UK GE year where one of our choices to vote for in Scotland is both the Labour party and the SNP……..
I rest my bloody case….another one that proves how biased, partisan and useless the media in Scotland are…..against the SNP…..while protecting the opposition by obscuring any negativity associated with them……

Wake up Scotland….you are being played….by some of the biggest players around !

Even Ross is playing us. Listening to him using his rhetoric, sounds as if he is campaigning for the labour party. His attacks are not for the benefit of his party. The quicker they become one party the better for everyone the Democratic Unionist Party of Scotland DUPS sounds about right.

I see the Greens in Scotland are now deemed relevant by the media ……
Oh why would that be ?
Well the Greens, who formerly were themselves being attacked as a party by the media (especially by the BBC) during the BHA with the SNP, are now, as a party , considered worth listening to (especially by the BBC) when they have a critique to make in respect to a MSP that John Swinney has appointed as his Deputy FM….as in Kate Forbes.
In fact the BBC Scotland & Scottish politics pages have given them, the Greens, a whole article on this very topic…..obviously all former promoted criticism of them, the Greens as a party, especially Lorna Slater, via the BBC is now all ‘water under the bridge’ apparently (on both sides)….as whenever there is a #SNPBAD story being spread then the BBC , and too the party spreading it, both think there will be some political capital to be gained for both of them, which then is assumed to result in, a negative political consequences for the SNP.
A win win for the BBC ….or so they assume…..but for the Greens….perhaps…..just for a fleeting moment only….but in the long term….not so much.

So although the Greens are no longer those who have an agreement with the SNP as part of the Scottish government…..still they assume they can dictate who our new FM appoints as members of his cabinet and also , thanks to this BBC article, get publicity in their assessing it…..as in declaring that some of his ,John Swinney’s, choices for ministers in his cabinet are, according to their leader Patrick Harvie, to be seen as “regressive”……
I’m not going to waste my time in highlighting all of this BBC article word for word as it is mostly, via it’s source, a spiteful outburst by someone, who as leader of the Greens, is having his (bad) moment , thanks to the media, to vent against the SNP….post his party’s deserved rejection by the previous FM, has now, as a reality, set in as a political reality……and Mr Harvie is more than aware , that this new cabinet being appointed by the new FM is then, for him, an opportunistic opening to unleash his revenge via a compliant media who, as a media, cannot get enough #SNPBAD material….no matter who the source is……
In fact for them, the media, the Greens leader is the perfect choice as a vocal #SNPBAD attacker, as he was one whose party was formerly in a political agreement with the SNP as Scottish government, thus the assumption by the media is that this will look as if …..’see even those once close to the SNP in government now also view them as #BAD’.
However a moment in the media limelight, in politics, can also have it’s political repercussions……where , dependent on what was said in that moment and who it was said about (or against), can either make or break a party…..in future elections.
In politics actions and words do have political consequences…..and just as many of us do not vote for pro UK opposition parties in Scotland we can then also decide to not vote for the Scottish Greens as well…..
I mean let’s be honest if the Scottish Greens have decided to become part of the hostile force , together with the Pro UK parties, within Holyrood…..then why would they then think that any SNP voter would ‘lend them their vote’ in the next Scottish election ?…….some of us have long memories……and these memories then form the basis in who we decide to vote for in elections and why………..which is mostly never for those who join with Pro UK political parties in their votes against the SNP and too in their media reported attacks against the SNP…..I would have thought that would be obvious……as in you then reap what you sow…..but apparently for someone (Patrick Harvie) that is not currently a consideration that is assumed to be one, that will result in any future political negative consequence, for his party……I mean that’s head in the sand terriTORY….surely.
