  1. How dare you suggest that a stout Socialist supporter like St.Kevin should lower himself to work for the Daily Mail ….well, apart from a stint as Executive Editor of the Scottish version of this Tory rag . He wouldn’t soil his Labour-supporting hands by accepting money from a Scotland denigrating propaganda sheet like this or any other publication that sought to undermine his homeland – apart from The Times , The Guardian , The Sunday Mail , The Herald …

  2. Here’s a thought to put to all Unionist anti Scotland to keep the UK in the future.

Give Scotland all the powers of an Independent country collecting all revenue and all taxes the lot and we will give Westminster some pocket money for defence to soothe their worries about the break up of the precious Union.

Do you think they would go for that,I doubt it as where would England be then.

  3. Yesterday he, Kevin McKenna, tweeted this:

“The speech was fine, but John Swinney must clear out Nicola Sturgeon’s pernicious cabal if he wants to achieve unity: my column in The Herald”

“The speech was “fine”…..Fine ?…..like the weather….LOL….hardly an endorsement, almost in fact a grudged compliment that was most restrained, in that he chose, as an overall assessment, the kind of word that hardly suggests an enthusiastic or flattering description of the speech given by John Swinney…..

“Pernicious”…..well writing for The Herald I guess means one has to use fairly negative words to establish negativity connected to Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP…and if we are talking “pernicious”…..well come on….. could you get, in Scotland, anything more “pernicious” than the media here…..in all of their reporting upon the SNP…..though some within the opposition parties give the media a run for their money in some of the statements/comments they make about the SNP…..

“Unity”….no chance of that ever being allowed to be promoted in the context of any reporting relating to the SNP, by the media and those who work for them, like say Kevin McKenna, as suits them and him to infer or rather promote that the SNP is a party that is not unified……while ignoring, via not reporting, on the moments when other political parties are experiencing real disunity and turmoil within their ranks…..I mean who was it that used to always state “The Honeymoon period is over” in relation to the SNP…..yet post that statement the SNP still achieved political success…..so that constant declaration via the media was more really wishful thinking and also a a tactic they used to try and con the voters that the SNP were on a downward spiral politically…..or that they, as a government, were failing…..mainly due to the ‘creation of #SNPBAD stories from that same (pro UK biased and partisan) media……

“My column in The Herald”…no more need be said on this…surely….LOL

Strange that Kevin thought it pertinent to note the word “unity” when only recently his favoured party, the Labour party, via their leader Keir Starmer also spoke about “Unity”.….indeed I wonder if Kevin will now endeavour (if not already done so) to write about us, in Scotland, all needing “Change”…….like say the “change” Labour are pretending they offer us as a party……but where we suspect there will be no “change” if they become the next UK Govt……certainly not for Scotland anyway…..or indeed elsewhere within the UK either…..

I thought McKenna supported independence…..if that were so….why then would he favour one of the parties (Labour) who will never , like the Tories, “allow” another independence referendum to take place…..either as an opposition party or as the next UK government…..Kevin needs to realise that the relevant fact here is that you cannot have ‘one foot in both camps’.…so for Kevin the reality is that you either support independence which means you really need to support a party that promotes independence…..or decide, like Kevin has, to you show your true colours and decide to support a party, that only ever has and always will , support only the (non) Union ….which under Keir Starmer has become a pound shop version of another party Kevin does not like …..as in the Tory party……..so really as he supports a pro UK party perhaps ‘Now is the time’ for him, Kevin, to stop doing the ‘Hokey-Cokey where he puts his left foot in and his right foot out when it suits him depending upon who leads the Labour party and too if perception is that they, Labour as a party, are touted as being in ascension politically in the ‘opinion’ polls…..though his right foot is the one he uses for the Labour party….as in right in more ways than one with them, Labour, that is the British nationalist Labour party who on St George’s day morph into the English nationalist Labour party…..LOL
