So I have a master plan – Instead of the BBC having to have a Verify Unit and BBC Corrections…..how about just employing people who can actually do the job?

I can just say what I like, get paid too much and pay tax too little!

Guess what I found in BBC Corrections & Clarifications page..

BBC Scotland

Radio and online, 2 & 3 April 2024

“In BBC Scotland’s coverage of the Hate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) Act 2021, reference was made in some of our output to the Act making it a criminal offence in Scotland to make “derogatory comments” based on the protected characteristics of age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, transgender identity or being intersex. This was inaccurate and we should have referred to the Act creating a new crime where it is an offence if someone communicates material or behaves in a threatening or abusive manner with the intention of “stirring up hatred” based on these protected characteristics. We apologise for any confusion caused and have reminded our teams of the importance of accuracy in our output”.

22/04/2024

So they “apologise” for “any confusion caused” and they have “reminded” their teams “of the importance of accuracy ” in their “output” ( so how many times will they need ‘reminding’ before they start to be more professional and diligent in their “output”……as this seems to be a habit they are unable to break……me thinks just ‘reminding’ them is falling on deaf ears….or is the BBC via this corrections & clarifications page just going through the motions….seems so…as the above is not a solitary or first instance in an ‘error’ being made by them)

“Confusion caused”……no worries then is it ?…… as this is just a national broadcaster with a licence to broadcast news across Scotland …..so thanks for apologising but could you perhaps consider intervening and asking WTF is going on…..because this is not the first time they, as a branch office of the BBC, have been inaccurate in what they broadcast…..which leaves some people to surmise if it is , as an action, deliberate with an intention to have negative consequences for someone…..who just so happens to be the someone this particular branch of the BBC is constantly attacking……day after day after day……

So I have a master plan…instead of the BBC having to have a Verify Unit…and a need for a BBC Corrections & clarifications page…..how about just employing people who can actually do the job, via being professional and competent oh and accurate in both their research & investigation, prior to the news being broadcast…..in fact they, or the political editor of the programme, could verify that the news was accurate before it was broadcast on their programme to the Nation.

TBH if that is really too much for the BBC news teams in Scotland to be able to do, as a supposed news provider of the supposed ‘news where we are’ , then it does question their right to be able to broadcast news at all…… but also via Ofcom (currently sleeping on the job) a question mark should be raised as to the BBC being allowed to have a licence to broadcast news in Scotland…..when there has been a succession of errors made by BBC Scotland’s news teams that greatly impact people politically to their detriment……….in particular one party mostly.

Errors ,where only via complaints made to the BBC, are these errors then highlighted but actually they are, as errors, hidden away in a section of the BBC website that a majority of people are unaware exists…….mud sticks as does fake news……the BBC HQ could also look at the lack of balance in BBC Scotland’s news re their political coverage as they tend to shy away from seeking out any of the branch office managers of political parties in Scotland when their respective HQ is in trouble, makes any unwelcome/cruel/useless political decisions, are incompetent, break pledges via U Turns, are involved in scandals, overspend on their budget for UK government projects, fail to complete on time UK government projects etc etc etc

( Plus why is everything the Scottish government intends to do or does is then, by the BBC here, labelled as “controversial” or a “fiasco” or a “scandal”…..who decides that ?)

The BBC Scotland news teams , are not as reluctant to constantly seek out and broadcast news ,that they consider to be negative, that is news connected to the party that currently are in government in Scotland and also even go as far as door stopping them to ensure that they, as politicians, are cornered into giving a statement………so if they can do that to one party then why not act in the same way for all political parties as in dishing out the same treatment to the various leaders in the various Scottish (INO) branch offices…..after all news is news in politics irrespective of where it comes from….a news team should not be selective as to who and what they decide to promote and broadcast as the service they are supposed to provide is one of covering all topical news to include all politics (as in to include all political parties)…..and not as we have seen just promote a barrage of #SNPBAD news coverage. (which contrasts with some of their more amicable style of news coverage that they tend to broadcast when interacting with branch office managers & their respective Shadow ministers…who they also give a recurring platform to also spew out #SNPBAD)

I am sure that any suggestion I make to BBC HQ would also fall on deaf ears….as apparently those tasked with the job of responding to complaints seem to fall back on template replies as opposed to committing the BBC to rectifying what many a viewer & listener highlights as a major repetitive problem in their output……

That problem being too much propaganda, bias & well below standard political news that is many a time inaccurate and also with far too much input from opposition parties giving their skewed versions of any topic related to the Scottish government…which as opposition parties well they would oppose it would they not….the clue being in the word ‘Opposition’…..so why then does the BBC here ask them their opinion ?

That’s rhetorical….we all know why they ask them….for reasons all too obvious….and seems the ‘errors’ the BBC here are making in their political news coverage also seems obvious as to reasons why……

  1. Seems to be a neverending story…..and the story is the BBC….

    #BBCSCOTLANDNEWSBAD…..

This today via MSM Monitor Twitter a/c:

“The BBC has apologised for broadcasting incorrect information after Police Scotland charged Peter Murrell. The apology, as yet, has not been made public but we can confirm it relates to a news bulletin and the charge against Mr Murrell”

See what I mean in regards to my comment re their (increasing) mentions in the corrections and clarification page on their BBC website…..sorry but you have to assume that they, the BBC Scotland news teams, are seriously compromised by their bias against the SNP and too their allegiance to political parties who support their UK hence why they are recklessly promoting fake news against one party while carefully filtering out similar news relating to others…..the only alternative deduction for their supposed constant ‘errors’ is that they are complete amateurs whose position as ones broadcasting news to the Nation is well past it’s sell by date as a position that should be allowed to continue…….sounds like a job for BBC Scotland’s own documentary programme ‘Disclosure’….surely.

  2. i think the BBC are in fact employing people to do the job.The thing is , the job we want them to do and the job englands Westminster want them to do differs , BBC is englands propaganda broadcasting station. We see the BBC lying wvery day and currently glorifying in the passing of laws that will allow england to send refugees on a nine hour flight to Rwanda exporting people like they are a tin of cat food with little care about their future. If you go to Rwanda you will need innoculations against the following before you go Diphtheria; Hepatitis B; Meningococcal Meningitis; Rabies; Typhoid; Yellow Fever , Cholera , you will also have to be made aware that you cannot drink tap water and you will have to be careful what you eat , you will also have to watch out for the fourteen poisonous snakes that could possibly kill you including the puff adder and cobra and then there are the dozens of poisonous spiders including the scary wolf spider and thats before we get to the other many insects and the diseases that are prevalent like malaria.Who will pay for this healthcare and education ? anyone ? i doubt it , can you see a callous government like englands westminster paying for such healthcare and education for refugees they are sending on a six thousand mile journey to the middle of africa , in Rwanda starvation rate is 35% and 40% of people have intestinal worms .You wont live a happy life there as a refugee the government there cannot look after its own people how do you think they will do caring for refugees.

  3. Here’s another narrative promoted by the BBC.

Scottish taxpayers considering leaving Scotland because of new tax measures introduced by the Scottish government….which related to some higher earners (and some other Tax bands) they, the BBC here, promoted as people seriously considering leaving Scotland as a consequence of what was being presented by them, BBC Scotland, as a punitive measure by our government that would result in a mass exodus of the wealthy abandoning Scotland for…..England. ( would that be because the assumption is that England, via the Tory UK government , looks after the wealthy more than the poorest in their country….alas for the average Tax earner it was found to be more ‘taxing’ in more ways than one within England……mostly for the average tax earner that is….as in England it is a case of you get ‘less bang for your buck’ if one is an ‘average’ Tax paying person in England…..such as council tax increases, water bills increases etc etc…factors not considered when the BBC here talk about Scottish income tax being #SNPBAD)

However thanks to a tweet by Bella Caledonia on Scottish tax payers I found this:

” Thousands more taxpayers moved to Scotland than left each year in the period after Scottish Income Tax was brought in, an HMRC study has found. Average net migration from within the UK was 4,200 every year from 2017-18 to 2021-22″

    Bella Caledonia tweeted:

“This is a really powerful independent fact-based retort to the absolute disinformation put out and amplified by a pliant Unionist media. Who are these plucky Nat bloggers? Oh its the HMRC”

    Oh indeed…….

    1. The population of Scotland only rose in number from Devolution 2000. From 1900’s , and before, 5million. Until 2000. Now increased to 5.4million. The population dipped in the 1950s. War.

The Clearances. Migration. Higher unemployment because of Westminster policies. Thatcher 15% unemployment. £10 passage to Australia. Migration. 40million disaporia. US, NZ, Australia and Canada.

  4. Do I also need to provide a master plan for Edinburgh East & Musselburgh Labour candidate Chris Murray (also a member of the Advisory council for These Islands the Pro UK organisation).

Thanks to Indy Blog Munguins Republic I saw this tweet from him:

“Great to be out chatting to people in Meadowbank today. Like me, many people are angry about the Scottish Government ditching our climate targets. Climate change is the most pressing issue facing the planet – we need serious, realistic, achievable policy to get to net zero”

Hmm…..well what about Labour’s pledge of investing £28 billion every year that has now apparently being downsized to a far lesser amount being pledged to supposedly ensuring a more green economy within their UK…… as in yet another Labour U turn on a policy/pledge/promise etc etc…..what with Chris stating “Climate change is the most pressing issue facing the planet”……that he highlighted in his tweet as being a significant factor regarding climate change….but it seems not that “pressing” for Labour HQ …..hence their ”ditching” their former pledged amount to a green economy if they win the next UK GE……

As now tis a vastly decreased financial input being pledged by Labour HQ…..though the proof will be in the pudding so to speak…..as we could end up in the same place with Labour HQ in charge as we see now happening with the Tories in charge and their lack of Green pledges and commitments …as in a right “Eton mess”……

So part of my master plan for Chris Murray would be in him not consistently noting what he promotes as #SNPBAD as in the “Scottish government ditching our climate targets” while his Labour HQ have “ditched” their former pledge of investing yearly an amount of £28 billion in green energy…..via their former pledged amount now being “ditched” and replaced with a far lesser amount….. if that is , they Labour HQ, take over the reins as the next UK government…..as Chris states that he “Like many people are angry ” as in supposedly “many people” that are supposedly “angry” with the Scottish government (which is an old chestnut the Lib Dems also use post canvassing in areas in Scotland)….well wait till he, Chris, hears about how “many people are angry with Labour HQ making a £28 billion a year pledge on green energy only to then do a U turn and thus commit to far less money towards it” in what Chris states is a “most pressing issue facing the planet”……but not that pressing for Labour HQ it seems…..hence their U turn (as in yet another one….which is something that also makes me “angry” and others too….and also their constant abstaining in votes in the HOC which is a form of ‘sitting on the fence’ politically)

Another part of my master plan for Chris would be instead of always slating (taking cheap shots at) the Scottish government and the SNP post him canvassing here then perhaps it would be more productive and informative if he could spell out to voters how Labour “will make Brexit work” , what “change” and actual “Fresh start” will Scotland see with a Labour UK government ( as that , as information , is somewhat lacking, blurred and thus not that evident based on what we are hearing coming from Labour HQ) and maybe explain why Scotland would ever want to , or indeed ever should vote for, a political party who were recently promoted , via their HQ leader, by The Daily Torygraph as declaring that they, Labour, were the “true party for English patriotism” ….that to me seems somewhat counter productive as an action for people in Scotland to take in voting for Labour in the next GE to become the next UK government……..or rather becoming as the next UK government the “true party for English patriotism” government…..

As based on what he , Starmer, has being saying then it seems as if Keir Starmer is more focused and interested in becoming elected as the next PM for England than PM for his supposed beloved UK……so maybe it is best to vote SNP at the next GE…..at least then you will have someone speaking up for Scotland….until we get our justified second vote on independence ,which is another democratic choice, Labour HQ prevents us having…..as in not being ‘allowed’ to have one….. in what is amusingly sometimes referred to as a ‘Union’ between nations within their UK…..compulsory one it seems…well for us and Wales anyway…..I think perhaps for England it would be considered voluntary…..if they wanted to go….no other nation within the UK would be able to stop them……and you can take that to the bank as a fact…..Bank of England that is…..LOL

    1. We could post extrapolations of their utterances;

Chris Murray, “Believes the way to net zero, is to drastically cut the £28bn pledged.” says Algee.

We could cover any of their attacks, The BBC, Sarwar, Shelter et al, “believe that to half Scotland’s house building programme, to bring it in line with England, is the way to solve homelessness.”

This site gives the ammunition, the quoted group or person can either be associated with something ludicrous or come back to refute a subject they would rather not have exposed.

      You’ll have got my drift.

  5. An alternative plan;

Journalism is a serious profession, the BBC agrees, “reminding our teams of the need for accuracy” Component parts of the journalistic team has failed to meet standards, many would say consistently.

We should demand; A first written warning to be issued, or resignation if it is a repeat failing.

Not fit for purpose or to hold the badge of journalist

    1. Reckon we should just get rid of it…..nobody wants an old worn it shoe with no…ahem…..”soul”, but then das boot is well aware that it would be redundant in an Independent Scotland which is one of the reasons for everything bad and negative, they are on self preservation mode…a dangerous propaganda war machine that out does Goebbels….backed into a corner rats are always dangerous!!!

      1. I reckon it is their biggest fear, Scotland having a free, or less controlled media. Think back on Alex Salmond, within days of him being offered the chairman’s position of Johnson Press, a “leak” to the Daily Record and the charges.

  6. Scotland is 25% in surplus in fuel and energy. Renewables now make up the increase in fuel and energy. Scotland is well ahead in renewables and renewable projects. The best country in the world for renewables. Keeping up the UK targets.

Westminster reneged on CCS projects.Gas at Peterhead and coal at Longannet in Fife. Despite benefiting from Scottish renewable energy.

    1. Yes, before Longannet was blown up, the plan was to develop CCS at the site with the universities aboard the plan. The intellectual rites lost, another export squandered.
