the Hate crime and public order (Scotland) Act…. it is being reported that “Rishi Sunak backs JK Rowling in row over Scottish hate crime legislation”…..of course he does as do other like minded people who also oppose everything said and done by the SNP as the Scottish government…..which is a ‘serial’ event…..though considering some of the actions via his government I cannot see his consensus with JKR as being something many would regard as being worthy of noting…..as significant.
Indeed I am sure some individuals see this new Act as an obstacle that will ‘Cramp their (usual) style’ in them being hostile, abusive, hateful , intolerant and offensive to others that they oppose…….just take a minute to look at the world now….the absolute mess it is in…… all of the wars, the hate, the intolerance, rioting, violence, poverty, suffering, famine, injustice, climate change etc…..where many UK politicians and media in this country choose to promote hate against others and who offer no solution, no uniting against or opposition to some of these terrible things that exist in the world….instead we are subjected to insignificant matters that deflect away from serious and significant matters that impact us all……but more so impact the most vulnerable within society and the World.
Soap box serial objectors….platformed to communicate hate , opposition and a succession of sh*te that in the grand scheme of all things bad…..are only fake issues they seek to communicate …..that compared to REAL issues that do exist…..are, as fake issues, of minimal impact to most people…..but do obscure the serious, damaging and significant real issues that do exist.
Hope over Hate is itself not tolerated…..as one is supposed to believe there is always ‘Others’ as in our ‘Enemies’ who exist to stop us from being a better society….reality obvs is that tis those who are intolerant of all progressive policies, and of those they see and refer to as “Others” that has seen the downfall of what is now very much a failing and dysfunctional UK state….that panders to those who are filled with hate and intolerance of those who they see as those who can never identify as being British (some in Scotland) , or indeed can ever, by them, be seen to be or regarded as British (Foreigners aka Migrants to their UK)…..
If ever we needed to fight back against Hate ….well to quote Theresa May “‘”Now is the Time”…….but alas for some tis a case of ‘Never the time’…..you do not win elections in the UK without inciting the existence of (rogue) threats via ‘Others’ and also promoting what Labour is seemingly promoting via Keir Starmer’s as in ‘British jobs for British workers’…..alas too many of those who oppose progress and “Change” sing from the same hateful, isolationist and intolerant hymn sheet…..with a media all too willing to encourage and promote anything and everything that opposes those who they see, as being regarded as those who are categorised as being ‘Others’ within the UK…..that is the SNP and us too who support independence ….and also any who oppose and reject that the UK is Okay…..reality is the UK is anything but Okay…
Pretty much sick of it all TBH…..but not that sick that I will not still speak up against it all………

Lets also not forget her, JKR’s, contribution in 2014 to the BT side.
Where she wrote a wee ditty to try to sway public opinion in Scotland to vote NO:

Aye and look at how they have punished us for staying in the UK ! ….we really should have left….to escape all of the punishment we have had to endure via reserved policies via the UK government….all because we said what she wanted us to say i.e. NO.

Well her “guess” was wrong then….as we are not in a ‘Heady position’ but instead we are in an unfortunate ‘Headcase’ position of being ones who decided, via some, to not “walk out”, but instead decided, via some, to “give it one last go”…..but having done that , and it clearly not having worked out as favourable, for us as a country….well now she, JKR, and others are adamant that we are then not “allowed” to have another justified vote to now walk away….lovely….is it not , how her former interpretation of the UK ‘terms’ are now non negotiable….and now favour only the UK side.

Of course the operative word in that first line is “offers” but it was the fulfilling part that was lacking in what they actually offered Scotland in way of “extra powers” for voting No in 2014….and how have all of the major parties been seen trying to “keep Scotland happy” ?…..by saying NO to another justified Indy Ref, dragging us out of the EU against our will, subjecting us to the “uncertainty” and “turmoil” of life in the UK under the Tory cost of living crisis and Brexit etc etc that seems, as instability, to be never ending and too the political shenanigans we have witnessed played out at WM (to try and get their UK Brexit withdrawal deal through and a succession of bad policies and decisions that blight our lives, then recently we saw Labour, via Starmer, colluding with the so called Speaker of the HOC in ensuring an SNP vote on Gaza was eliminated as a choice to vote for…..and too EVEL which was introduced as a policy via David Cameron on the morning after the 2014 Independence referendum….indeed before even the proverbial Ink was dry…also not lost in her wee ditty is her indicating her blatant opposition to independence given her stating it, via a vote, causes “uncertainty” and “turmoil”…which based on all that we in Scotland (and elsewhere in the UK) have suffered, endured and been compelled to tolerate since 2014 as UK citizens is somewhat ironic !

Oh yeh we in Scotland are now the toast of the UK…..indeed the party that we elect to govern us here and too our parliament, now see the bills and laws that they vote for and pass, being overruled by the UK government aka Brexit Power grab….and the media sit back and still promote everything that, JKR, says that are against both the SNP and too independence while, like JKR, they, the media, also ignore what the UK government has done and is still doing to our devolution……oh and look how we, Scotland, dictated the terms in Brexit NOT….where those we elected were not allowed to be a part of negotiations with the EU….yet where our fishing, farming, businesses, Hospitality industry, Care Sector etc and indeed our own lives have been severely negatively impacted because of this crap UK Brexit policy……and too suffered and endured all of this because we, as in some of us, voted in 2014, for Scotland, to stay in her, JKR’s, UK….as directed by her.
I hope she can hear my one hand clapping on her ‘predictions’ via her ditty in 2014…..as clearly her lack of ability in fortune telling is such that one could call her a Charlatan…..
I guess her crystal ball was cloudy.….because it is clearly transparent that she was not seeing either the future or the truth for Scotland within her UK post 2014……( I suspect , as do others, she also knew that too).

If any of your followers had visited Youtube (and I daresayTwitter/Facebook as well) today you will no doubt find a number of RW commentators (mostly English) denouncing the new Hate Crime Law with the usual feigned outrage that it is an assault on free speech.
When mentioned that in England Westminster is banning Strikes for essential workers, preventing peaceful street protest demonstrations and are intent on criminalising homeless people then as expected the dissenting views are either immediately deleted or relegated. That is their (English) version of preserving free speech as long as it is in accord with their own.
I’m an atheist but if by faint chance I am wrong then Scotland desperately needs some divine intervention to get us out of this bloody Union asap.

Andrew Neil, ex ‘Chairman’ of GB News, did an article in the Daily Mail last Saturday where he slated the SNP.
In it he stated “They’ve trashed the Schools, the Health Service and the economy. Now the SNP are set to destroy free speech with Hate Crime Law….Orwellian nightmare”
Wow he , Neil, has the brass neck to associate a “Orwellian nightmare” with the SNP when what we in Scotland (and others in the UK) have had to suffer under with the Tory party and their revolving door of Tory party leaders/PM’s….and surely it was Liz Truss as PM who “trashed the UK economy”, plus it was the Tories who trashed their “NHS and also their Schools”…..did he mistakenly put the “SNP” instead of the ‘Tories’ in the text of his article…LOL…..and we all know the kind of “Free speech” GB News promoted…..spin and bias comes to mind…..eh Mr ex Chairman of GB News.
I guess Andrew has all the evidence and data to substantiate these allegations…..
BTW where does HE, Andrew Neil, live in Scotland to have witnessed and experienced all of this supposed ‘Trashing’…..via the SNP.
Of course Andrew Neil has done, and is still doing, his bit to trash and destroy the debate within his UK….. via him being given a media platform in the current Orwellian state that he, and his various specially chosen media platforms, have helped to both create and sustain within his beloved UK.
Andrew is a resident of France (and he also has homes in London and New York…how lovely…for some….so no residence in Scotland then where he seems to know absolutely everything that is going on here as a NON resident)

Rules for some….countries…and some people…who choose to reside in other countries outwith Scotland (and the UK)….and rules for others….as In Scotland….it seems….for these very same people….mind you Mr Neil has previous form in dissing the SNP….
He also has form in being one who was and still is against Scottish independence…..
He, Mr Neil, did his bit for the UK in 2014 …..
Thus he like the many other ‘usual suspects’ via individuals, media & political parties have all come together as ONE to yet again pin this ‘Act’ as only being supported and voted for by the SNP…..but my understanding is that some within other parties also voted this ‘Act’ through at the legislation process….yet they , by the media, are somehow never mentioned as also being responsible for it passing at Holyrood……

Well try telling Andrew Neil that…though if he, Daisley, did then Andrew would still have the same opinion he had via his ‘Daily Mail’ article I am sure….as he, Neil, is one who is a always (over) enthusiastic in him always ensuring he never misses any opportunity to try and “trash” the SNP…constantly.
So is no one in the media seeking opinions from Labour & Lib Dems in Scotland on this….that would appear to be a NO then…..as it seems to be the case from what I have seen and heard so far……via the MSM.

There is an organisation called ‘True Vision’ which is a charity ‘owned the The National Police Chiefs’ Council’ and operating in England, NI and Wales. It operates a ‘Report It’ service (see https://www.report-it.org.uk/ )
The home page of its website has these headlines:
In a section termed ‘What is hate crime?’ it states: ‘The police will record any crime as a hate crime where the victim or any other person perceives it was motivated by hostility or prejudice towards their identity.’
It explains: ’Hate crimes are any crimes that are targeted at a person because of hostility or prejudice towards that person’s:
– disability
– race or ethnicity
– religion or belief
– sexual orientation
– transgender identity.
‘This can be committed against a person or property’ and ‘A victim does not have to be a member of the group at which the hostility is targeted. In fact, anyone could be a victim of a hate crime.’
HATE INCIDENTS: ‘Hate Incidents can feel like crimes to those who suffer them and often escalate to crimes or tension in a community. For this reason the police are concerned about incidents and you can also use this site to report non-crime hate incidents. The police can only prosecute when the law is broken but can work with partners to try and prevent any escalation in seriousness.’
What is a transgender hate crime?
‘Transgender hate crimes’ and non-crime incidents are acts which target a victim because of the offender’s hostility to a transgender person or to transgender people in general.
It also notes on transgender hate crime: ‘Any incident or crime which is perceived by the victim to be motivated by hostility to transgender people will be recorded as such. If the offender is to have a sentence enhanced by the court, then prosecutors must provide evidence to prove that, but such proof is not required for recording purposes. Hate crimes can be committed against a person or property.’
‘A transgender hate crime could target someone who is not themselves transgender and the harmed person could be, for example, the child of a transgender person or someone mistaken as being transgender, so long as the offender was motivated, wholly or partially, by a hostility to transgender people.’
So much adverse commentary on Scotland’s new Act seems to be in denial of the presence of hate crime legislation anywhere else!

So another day another ‘moral panic’ in Scotland stoked by a complicit mainstream media.
The BBC for example continues to give prominence to the introduction in Scotland of the new hate crime legislation. However, there are a number of notable deficiencies in the (so called) public service broadcaster’s reporting. These stem from its determined editorial policy and practice in Scotland of avoiding context and perspective:
– There has been a failure to report what the new act does that is wholly new and what it does that tidies up existing law;
– There has been a failure to compare and contrast the new legislation in Scotland with existing law and practice in England and Wales;
– There has been a failure to provide any wider perspective based on tackling hate crime and hate speech internationally, including that based on comparable legislation in countries which rank high in independent assessments of freedom of speech and press freedom like certain Nordic countries;
– There has been a failure to explain consistently what the Scottish Government intends with subsequent legislation on mysogyny following the inquiry led by Dame Helena Kennedy. (Adverse criticism of the new Act because it does NOT include explicit protections for women but should, presumably is coming from those that support the provisions of the Act albeit wishing its scope to be broadened? )
It takes little effort online to discover a substantial international literature on how different democratic governments and legal systems are tackling hate crime and hate speech. Scotland is NOT any sort of outlier!

In the same week that the mainstream media in the UK and opponents of the Scottish Government aggregate and amplify so called ‘gender critical’ views – a polite term for denying the validity of trans people’s lives – by contrast, in the USA we had this:

I see the outside of Ben Macpherson, SNP MSP, office has been splattered with ‘BLUE’ paint…..I wonder what prompted this action….Hmm….has there been any recent event that has been highly publicised and attributed to only being sourced via the SNP that has been (over) reported via a majority of UK media both in and out of Scotland…..that has drawn a hugely negative slant via both Randoms and also some high profile people…….against the SNP.
Perhaps yesterday, the fallout via ONE particular recent ‘Act’ that, as a fallout, saw some particular political parties protected (obscured) from the backlash that has ensued via this ‘Act’ could perhaps be ONE reason this occurred…..which saw only an SNP MSP’s office being targeted and vandalised…..not that I would ever want any other party to suffer this vandalism outside their offices….but the neglect of some within the media to highlight MSP’s from all parties (excepting the Tories) voted this Act through….well speaks for itself as to what we witnessed yesterday that is #SNPBAD.
Proves that some words via some sources publicised via some UK media can have some people go way too far……..against only some particular political party politician.
Yet we have the same media promote how vulnerable some politicians from some political parties are from being subjected to violence….while it seems some other politicians from some other political party are fair game when a media and too some high profile people think it is acceptable in inciting rage among some people to act in a way that is but one step away from direct violence against a politician…..
Ironic that a violent act , such as vandalising a politicians office, may be a result of the introduction of a “Hate Crime Act” introduced in Scotland….perhaps proving the point that it , as an Act, is badly needed….not just against speech but against some of the hugely negative outpourings via the media too against that particular political party….me thinks. (sourced from some of the usual suspects)….which then results in some Random(s) being emboldened to commit such an ‘act’ of vandalism….
Perhaps time to rein in the speculation, opinions and misinformation and report the truth and facts …..and also promote it was, as an ‘ACT’ passed in the Scottish parliament …..a cross party (except Tories obvs) decision.

Nada re Ben Macpherson’s office being vandalised….not news apparently via the BBC.
Hmm…are they concerned that this vandalism may just be because of the media’s, very much including them the BBC, incessant speculation, opinion driven and promoting uber opposition, selective interpretation and misinformation to the recent mega publicised “Hate Crime Act” and attributing it as somehow being the Scottish government as responsible …where they, BBC and other media, shared the limelight with a high profile serial SNP objector whose wealth she assumes protects her i n making it another SNPBAD major ‘CONTROVERSIAL’ story….and where somehow the uninformed are attributing as, this Act, being the SNP alone as responsible……one comment I read online was someone saying “The SNP have shot themselves in the foot with this one”…….obviously (blissfully I am sure) unaware that other parties at Holyrood have then also shot themselves in the foot….if we, or rather some Random, wants to really go down that road…..as other parties passed this Act too….
As others have stated….how many objectors actually know and can quote verbatim what is in this Act….and how many are scooping up their ‘knowledge’ based on what they have sourced via a hostile media and also hostile ‘usual suspects’ whose aim is to try to seek the destruction of the SNP as a force in Scotland and too via representation at WM as a majority (and independence too obvs)…..
Just another absurd day in Scotland….the same Scotland who we were all told in 2014, that as a country in the UK, could “Lead” in the UK as oppose to “leave” it….all thanks very much to the contribution of the current media high profile serial objector mouthing off again about #SNPBAD…..and there was her with her penned fantasy, in 2014, on her vision of a future NO voting Scotland in her ‘rose tinted glasses’ kind of UK…….the worst fantasy story she has EVER written….I myself prefer reality….after all, I, like others, have lived the reality of her UK….and it ain’t nothing like her wee ditty in 2014 that’s for sure…..

This guy has lost the plot, plenty likes and the comments are so full of bias and hate towards Scotland and the SNP it’s actually quite scary. Pie is an absolute disgrace an to ridicule the Scottish accent, just stooping incredibly low. Maybe he couldn’t find anything else of importance to spout his loud mouthed rubbish. I skipped much of it, but you get the gist pretty damn quick.

Note also that he mentioned….a certain “children’s author……wow she has got a lot of mileage on her opposition….which I am sure was what she knew would happen…..or rather hoped would happen….as a serial objector to the SNP as a political party.
Always remember these people , like Pie, may be against the Tory party BUT they are also supportive of the Labour party….under Starmer…..we laugh at Jonathan Pie….but is his contribution to the political debate, when it involves Scotland, not just the exact same as MSM and the Labour party……and Hey it’s just banter his ‘Scottish’ accent…..
I hope he realises this is NOT just a bill that was passed by the Scottish government…but had cross party support minus the Tories….but then one has to assume that he too has sourced his information from unreliable and hostile sources…like say a certain “Children’s author”….and MSM plus rogue news channels he opposes like GB News…..LOL
What will also be ironic is that those Randoms who say they oppose this ‘Act’ will be the very ones who , in trying to scupper it, will report others (like us perhaps) to the Police from statements we make that they say constitutes Hate speech…..that is how staunch some of them are in respect to trying to bringing down the SNP and who oppose anything and everything connected to them….and independence.
