What our Romania Correspondent, Bob Lamont sees, with no Scottish Politics, above.
What we see in the UK below, with Scotland Politics:

Bob wonders:
What if James Robertson’s superb sendup “ The News where you are, is not the News where we are ” morphed into the “The News where you are is tailored to what we say it is in Bearsden, Torry, Milngavie or Collington “.
For now it only appears to be the case for English, Scots, Welsh or Irish ABROAD, or at least I see the exact same setup from here in Romania for all 4 national sections of the BBC webpages, do any other furrner nationals concur ?
If resident in the UK, read carefully across the headings on the screen-shot above taken at 1605 local time, 5 past 2 if in Scotland yesterday- Now compare what I see with what you see in Scotland – Does the notable absence of a Politics section concern you when your daughter or son is in America ? It certainly worries someone, else they wouldn’t have gone to so much trouble to create it…
Ed: It’s an intriguing discovery by Bob. What do we make of it? Does the UK establishment prefer to hide the fractures in the UK from foreign powers?

I think it is part of the reason – they want to give the impression of a unitary state called ‘England’, which is actually how the UK is known in many parts of the world.
However, they also want to attack the self respect of Irish, Scottish and Welsh people. They want the Celts to think they are not all that good and incapable of managing things for themselves. And, sadly, enough Scots accept that and keep support for independence lower. There are the ‘Scots on the make’ who make a good living out of exalting their Britishness and denigrating Scottishness (except ‘proud Scot’s’ like them.)
Elizabeth House in Edinburgh (and in Cardiff and Belfast) produces the denigratory scripts that the mainstream media and unionist politicians spout. That is the news ‘where you are’.
