Labour candidate for Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock could not support move to save one thousand seven hundred local children from poverty

Elaine Stewart, Labour candidate

Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock Labour candidate, Elaine Stewart, must do what Sir Keir Starmer tells her to do. Any suggestion of disloyalty and she’d be dumped quickly.

Last year End Child Poverty made clear the role of the Two Child Benefit Cap in pushing 1.5 million UK children into poverty. There are 1 710 of them in the Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock constituency.

What would Labour and a Scottish Labour MP do about this?

  1. Nope. The country cannot afford to feed the poor, the halt, the lame and the indigent. Not when we have to find £64.6 grand for Lard Baron Giorgio Ffoulksakia and his “living” expenses.

Why does this old retired man require more than a £1,000 every week to live on, when he already has huge pensions and funds accrued from his previous life as a useless Labour MP, travelling the globe, attacking an old lady and decking the fuzz.

Lucky not to end up in the pokey!

  3. If we had a decent media, the Labour candidates would be questioned on the consequences, on Scottish children, of an unmitigated two child benefit cap.

Labour’s drive to secure an English vote has driven any remaining decency, morality or social conscience beyond their horizons. Sad, a disrupted party, hollow of their original ideology.
