A County Lines gang arrested in Aberdeen last year.

BBC Scotland and the Scottish newspaper front pages have nothing on this dramatic story today of a Southampton based ‘County Lines‘ drug gang moving into Aberdeen, significantly increasing the supply of proscribed drugs and the level of ‘Modern Slavery’ whereby vulnerable locals have their homes occupied by extremely violent criminals as bases from which to deal the drugs.
Sexual abuse of women and children often go hand-in-hand with these practices.
The story can be found on the Police Scotland Facebook page which I feel sure mainstream journalists know all about. Sometimes the Mail and the Record will cover these stories but BBC Scotland, the Herald and the Scotsman, to my knowledge never do.
From Aberdeen Live today:
Police Scotland and Dorset Police have made several arrests following a joint day of action as part of an investigation into reported drug supply and modern day slavery offences.
Officers from the north-east teamed up with their English counterparts, with search warrants executed at several addresses in Aberdeen on Tuesday, March 5.
Dorset Police say the operation involved the alleged exploitation of vulnerable people.
Detective Sergeant Sam Harris, of Police Scotland North East Division, said: “We are fully committed to working with our policing colleagues throughout the UK to target those suspected of being involved in county lines activity.
“We will continue to use every resource at our disposal to disrupt this type of crime while safeguarding exploited individuals and intercepting harmful drugs before they reach our communities.”

Last November, we saw a local community in Ayrshire drive out a gang but the events were quickly reported as criminal activity by the locals. See: https://talkingupscotlandtwo.com/2023/11/27/ayrshire-riots-were-against-english-drug-gang-terror-but-media-avoid-anything-that-harms-the-reputation-of-the-union/
This avoidance of a story, clearly bad news for the image of the Union, has been reported in a few places only for at least four years now but has yet to find a place in BBC Scotland much self-vaunted Disclosure series. See this from October 2019: https://talkingupscotlandtwo.com/2019/10/13/why-are-scottish-media-not-reporting-on-english-gangs-terrorising-scotlands-rural-communities/
5 years at least, and counting, when will BBC Scotland tackle this one?

If there were a way this could be portrayed as anti-Scottish and or a ‘failure’ for which Police Scotland or the Scottish Government or both could be ‘slammed’ then the BBC or the Herald would cover it, with DRoss foaming at the mouth in outrage.

Of course , Scotland’s ”shameful” drugs deaths are the fault of the SNP Government – but don’t mention where much of the drugs originate !

Not sure why you bring the ‘SNP’ into it, or ‘drugs deaths’, even in jest, and where the drugs ‘originate’ is almost irrelevant. However drugs is BIG business and there is big money in it for those at the top. I know someone who knew a bit about the drugs business workings, who told me that in the past, drugs where deliberately imported into Scotland, and could be landed anywhere because Scotland’s VAST coastline is not policed, marine policing is an ENGLISH government responsibility, of course. I guess the gangs just need to drive or train up to Scotland from ENGLAND now and no one bats an eyelid, in particular the ‘Scottish’ police.
