Above, BBC Scotland’s interests specially chosen for you.
Below, the really big story everywhere else in the UK but not to be mentioned by BBC Scotland, even though to do so might reassure thousands of the elderly, vulnerable and confused, that it is OK to contact NHS Scotland, to go for an appointment with confidence or, of course, to think something positive about the SNP in government:

10th strike by junior doctors, 50 plus days of doctor strikes across England with more than a million missed appointments, 50 000 plus excess deaths and strikes all across the UK, except in:

Only in Scotland have junior doctors accepted…
‘Only in Scotland’ is a phrase non-Scottish media are happy to talk about because everywhere else in the UK, the media operate within a broader culture where Scottish independence is not such a hot issue, where a silent decent majority think that if we want independence, we should be allowed to have it.
BBC Scotland along with almost all of our MSM will always tell a different tale.
Today:

Try searching the above report for the word ‘junior’ – not there.
Try ‘strike’ and at the very bottom there’s this bit:
On the same day Audit Scotland was delivering a harsh verdict on NHS Scotland, the Institute for Government was reflecting on a similar set of issues for England. The institute add that the UK government’s strategy on tackling public sector strikes, where it has one, has not helped, and probably further antagonised the frontline workers required to turn around public services.
Similar? With far worse waiting time figures, with fewer staff pro rata and with 51 days lost to strike action?
UK government’s strategy on tackling public sector strikes, where it has one, has not helped? Again, ‘has not helped?’ That is one chunk of euphemistic language.
As before, imagine this was the other way round and Scotland had the worse performance, the fewer staff and the strikes were only in Scotland? Write the headlines yourself.
To finish, I know there are some who want a bigger better Scottish news or a devolved BBC Scotland News.
It would, regardless, just be more of the same. Only after independence, lets look at the notion of a public service broadcaster again but until then, let them ‘wither on the vine’ of our disinterest.

Didn’t we know on Thursday at FMQs when both Unionists teamed up to use the SNHS as a SG bad topic that very soon something REALLY bad was looming for the English NHS.

Amused to note the “Audit Scotland’s new report has identified major challenges for the National Health Service” tag to the bottom photo, and wondering how much of Douglas Fraser’s 2023 article was simple copied over by Andrew Picken for his 2024 version “Scotland’s NHS cannot meet growing demand, warns watchdog”…

Everyone is getting their treatment. Their sight saved. Cataract done. A slight wait during the pandemic for health reasons. Heart attacks lives saved. Do not wait go quickly. Injections for arthritis throughout the pandemic. Phone Doctors early or late, to get through.
Social care. The elderly can stay in their house longer. Cheaper and better. Prescriptions to help the sick. Scottish Gov mitigating the cuts.
