Exclusive – Scottish taxpayer did not have to pay for First Minister wife’s trip to Istanbul

The Herald today have this frankly pitiful exclusive:

Turkish government paid for Nadia El-Nakla trip to Istanbul

The Turkish government paid for the wife of the First Minister to attend a summit in Istanbul, according to the Scottish Government’s latest list of ministers’ interests.

Nadia El-Nakla and an SNP press officer attended Emine Erdoğan’s “United for Peace in Palestine” conference on November 15, following an invitation from the Turkish consulate in Edinburgh.

Really? Is that where we’re at now for an ‘exclusive?’ Were they hoping they’d catch Humza out using Scottish taxpayer’s payers money to pay for his wife to travel to a conference? Are they looking for anything at all they can imply is anti-semitic?

Once I went to a conference in Sheffield on Scottish taxpayer money via my employer’s research conference fund – shockan aye?

  1. Yep that’s where we are at now. The BritNat state are desperate to bring down the FM, they succeeded with the last two, well, post Salmond’s tenure. Don’t be surprised if the BritNat state orchestrates something nasty in order to close down Holyrood, if desperate enough. Crazy world, very scary times, 2024, fabulous eh.

    1. Nothing is outwith the bounds of possibility now. When we are OK with planes loaded with nuclear weapons flying out of a UK base on behalf of the US then I’m inclined to think anything can happen.

  2. You could see this coming a mile away when Scotland’s media realised the “Nicola ate my budgie” gambit collapsed on her resignation as FM at the end of March.

HY taking over as FM was fatal for them – Pursing the “Paki”/racist or muslim ‘ate my budgie’ was never going to work, hence reversion to corrupt innuendo, WhatsApps, etc., and now https://archive.ph/78A0S

Andrew’s cue of “Nadia El-Nakla and an SNP press officer” was undoubtedly intended to trigger further eruptions from the rent-an-outraged-propagandist community, hints of corruption to rescue a section of her family who had departed Gaza two weeks earlier was about as accurate any Eylon Levy statements of ‘fact’ to date or a James Cook account on anything since 2013, except perhaps his tailor….

I wonder how Andrew or James or DRoss or Sarwar or Baillie would feel with their partner, entire family and extended family subjected to this puerile nonsense.

    I don’t think they’d look smug for long…

  3. The Tories are toast.

People who support Independence need to vote for it every election.

Stop the genocide and murder of innocent people by the US/UK worldwide. Breaking International Law at home and away. Westminster corruption and illegal actions will never bring peace, equality or prosperity.
