Yousaf accused of shaking hands with elected leader of a democracy!

‘Humza Yousaf has invited the hugely controversial President of Turkey to Scotland, The Herald can reveal.’

TuS can now reveal that he seems to be the only leader in UK history to prefer shaking hands with democrats.

Andrew Learmonth’s piece https://archive.ph/qr90L pivots heavily on Kurdish aspirations, which have SFA to do with the current and ongoing Gaza genocide, but read further and Andrew promotes “…emergence of the invite comes after our story from last week revealing Mr Yousaf’s desperation to meet with President Erdoğan’s.” (sic), which he then seeks to explore as having obtained preferential treatment for member’s of his wife’s family despite having already left Gaza… Eh?

    Andrew’s opening “Humza Yousaf has invited the hugely CONTROVERSIAL ” is straight out of the Chris Musson playbook, and indeed Andrew had already adopted the “EXCLUSIVE” gambit.. Stick it where the Musson don’t shine Andrew…

  5. That said Erdogan is Internationnally recognised as a ruthless dictator which is why I do not ever envisage travelling to Turkey during his premiership.

    1. Russia has shown itself to be more democratic than the UK, they just don’t have as good a PR team. The UK is unquestionably a far right fascist state fronted by barrowboys and crooks passing themselves off as politicians.

  7. 26Million Russians died in WW2 saving the West. The economy was decimated. 1/2million British died. 1/2Million French. 1million Americans. Especially in the East. The US made money out of the 2WW.

    The monarchy caused the 1WW. International disputes. Victoria (German) children and grandchildren. Millions died worldwide. Russia imperialists invaded Germany. Tsar. Wife Victoria’s daughter. The ‘divine right to rule’. Universal suffrage 1928.

    Glasnost and Perestroika 150Million people got Independence. Russian pop USSR. 300million. Russian pop now 150Million. In 1990 the countries in the eastern bloc got more freedom, self determination and independence. Than Scotland did in the Union.

    Scotland voted for Devolution. The Tories held it back for 20 years. Devolution 2000 now with total limited powers. Putin supported self governance and independence for Scotland Democracy. The Westminster unionists did not. Nothing but lies.

  8. Erdogan is elected.50/50. Looks after the poorer people. More equality. Turkey is a democracy. More democratic than the UK. UK/US bombing the world to bits. Erdogan stands up to them. Trying to stop wars and strife. Joins with Russia, China trying to stop the strife. Strife encouraged by the UK/US and the rest. US been at war since 1945. Fighting all around the world. Killing and maiming. Wasting £trillions that could be better spent.

    Trump tries to stop the wars. The US administration tries to stop Trump stopping the wars. The US administration makes money out of war for themselves and their associates. Biden and corrupt son. US arms spend 1/3 of the world spend. $740billion. Saudi next pro rata. Saudi investing in the Telegraph etc. Corruption. Undemocratic and unequal.
