Sunday Sun reveals SNP policy spreading to England – Child Payment next?

This was posted by Gordon Macdonald MSP (SNP) for Edinburgh Pentlands.

Here’s the detail:

The Sun report grudgingly mentions Scotland, just across the border and prioritises the influence of Finland, over 1 000 miles way and using a language very difficult for Northumbrians to read.

283 00 baby boxes have now been given out in Scotland. No accidental fires have been reported despite the story from that daft academic at the time and Labour MSP Mary McFee pompously demanding the SNP make sure they were safe:

They even hand them out now in US fire stations: https://wibc.com/217972/baby-box-installed-for-newborn-safety-at-lawrence-fire-department/

However, there’s an even better SNP policy they could all cope – the Child Payment.

How a £25 payment is turning Scotland into a European pioneer in reducing child deprivation: https://www.ft.com/content/cf41b5d9-c714-40a2-b66d-251efde61504

and:

Even BBC Wales likes the idea in Labour-run Wales. See:

  1. When Scotland borrows a great idea and runs with it all hell lets loose. When England does the same – on a much smaller scale – it somehow becomes a great idea.

    1. Ah but Kelticgirl, if England came round to the idea of Baby Boxes, they would be named the Great British Baby Box and have the usual essentials such as Baby’s first Union Flag, a miniature Spitfire and a soothing recording of the “White Cliffs of Dover”.

  2. The Anglo state had two major issues with baby boxes.

Firstly it created the idea that we are all born equal which did not fit with their class culture and only “hard working” people deserving state handouts i.e. Tories.

Secondly this allowed Scotland to deviate from Anglo state policy which increasingly is being suppressed in order to promote their ein reich, ein volk narrative.

Nowadays, their Governor General would have vetoed the project with the excuse that it undermined national unity or represented a threat to public safety.

  3. With a GE in the offing I look forward to Sir Kid Starver telling folk in the NE using Baby Boxes that this is a measure that he will NOT implement when in power .Nor will he copy Scotland and introduce an equivalent English Child Payment . That smacks of being too ”Scottish” – and as he constantly states , nothing good has been done in Scotland since the SNP got into power .

  4. Scotland leading the way in caring for the future generation again. More equal and fair policies supported in Scotland. To make the world a better place.

It needs women who co habit, the majority, to have equal rights to stop abuse. Policies put in place. Legal Aid etc. To make the world a better place. To help children.

  5. So EngGov are helping some people, very few, In England they still have huge nursery costs and kids still go hungry at school because many don’t get free school meals whose parents are working poor, and of course their council tax is higher, etc. Well there is so much they are NOT being helped with, no carer support payment, no winter fuel payment for the poorest, though they do pay less for their energy bills thanks to Scotland.

As if the Tories ever cared about anyone but themselves and their own pockets, and yes lets not forget the 24/7 onslaught of negativity from the ‘media’ in Scotland about how terrible baby boxes are and how dangerous and how bad the SNP was and is for imposing such horror on parents and little babies.
Don’t worry the benefits will be countered with higher costs imposed for those parents elsewhere.
The so called media is simply a propaganda tool used by the British state to control the most gullible into believing ‘someone’ ‘cares’! In England, they don’t!

    1. I am not sure of the extent of the EngGov’s involvement in this scheme. It seems to have been started by a Charity and recently received further funding from an NGO who may, or may not, get funding from EGov.

  6. Starting in the north (of England) – maybe it will gradually spread south from the cradle of enlightenment (Scotland) and eventually reach the south of England – when Hell freezes over… 🙂
