and getting much less in return.
BBC Reporting Scotland is happily reporting the above outrageous lie by the opposition parties as if it was a credible claim.
114 000 will pay the new advanced rate for those ‘Scots’ earning between £75 000 and £125 000, 2% of the population.
The median salary in the UK is around £33 000pa.
Most of the population earn less than that:
£33 000 is around £20ph, earned by a small part of the UK population and with far larger numbers earning less, sometimes far less, than that.
How do they survive? What they do get in return from government.
BBC Scotland expect us to believe its much less in Scotland but it’s not. It’s much more:
- The cheapest rents and the lowest council tax in the UK including for those on over £75 000
- Free tuition in HE including for the children, any number, of those on over £75 000
- Free prescriptions for all including those on over £75 000
- The best NHS with shorter waiting times for surgery, cancer treatment, IVF and A&E including for those on over £75 000
- Less crime notably for those on over £75 000 with more stuff
- More police officers, nurses, teachers and hospital beds.
I could go on. Share the truth.

Meanwhile BBC Wales has no report on the Welsh budget. It has speculation that was posted a couple of days ago relating to potential council tax rises, a possible tax on pubs and shops to pay for the NHS. All very low key delivery.
Contrast that with the headlines in the Scottish press and the shock horror delivery of BBC Scotland and STV.
For some days, BBC nationally have been specifically reporting on the dire consequences for ‘hard-working people in Scotland, Channel 4 News did a hatchet job last night and The smug colonialist Guardian had a solemn editorial declaring ‘Youse Jocks ur fucked! Serves yese right ya basturts’ delivered in the cut glass tones of the privately educated.

I am happy that richer people are paying more tax in order to find public services for all of us! It’s what progressive politics are all about

Not much on the DA budgets in the wider UK media today, I suspect they are only too aware of the positives and really really don’t want the ik voter’s to see that things can be done differently. They’ll also not want to highlight Wales choices to stick with Tory austerity though to be fair I don’t think Wales has tax changing powers radio Scotland is doing its best to criticise Scotland’s budget but we know not many people are listening to them now

2% pay a little bit more to help out the 98% rest of us, seems a good bit of work to me.

Scotland has to pay higher taxes because Westminster mismanages the Scottish budget. Wasting monies on projects of no value, especially to Scotland. Scotland raises 87Billion. 25% pro rata than the rest of the UK, The UK raises £731Billion. Down from £817Billion.
£731Billion minus £87Billion = £644Billion raised in the rest of the UK. 25% less pro rata. Scotland spends £54Billion. Westminster spends and wastes half of Scottish revenues. Westminster spends £1090Billion.
Brexit costs £100Billion. £10Billion lost to Scotland. Westminster borrows and spends £100Billion more in the rest of the UK. Pro rata £10Billion more. Scotland has to pay for Trident, illegal wars, redundant weaponry. Tax evasion and fraud supported by Westminster. HS2, Hickley Point etc a total waste of £Billions. Scotland has never been treated equally.
Scotland 25% in surplus in fuel and energy, and nearer the source, pays more pro rata. No parity. Energy companies wants to charge less Westminster policies stopped them.

Let’s see how many of the folks in Scotland on more than £75000 a year leave Scotland and go to live in England , i am taking bets , I think it will be next to NIL.
Why ? Because of all the reasons Mr Robertson states and because they have such a better life here in Scotland being able to have a house and grounds twice as big maybe even three times as big in Scotland as they would get in England for the same money, they know when they are well off furthermore they get to live in beautiful surroundings , if any of them do leave and go off to live elsewhere there is always a huge queue of people ready to take their place and their house and their £75000 job 😊
We don’t need them they are replaceable

No fear BBC Scotland will scour the countryside to find one disgruntled Doctor who ‘has had enough and will be fleeing this nasty vindictive’ Government for the balmy plains of Essex where his huge talents will be appreciated before retiring to his 2nd home in the Dordogne.
