From cuckoooshoe today:
ScotRail, nationalised last year by the Scottish Government, has introduced new greener Class 380 trains today on their Glasgow to Barrhead route. The line, which recently underwent a £63.3 million upgrade, is a part of the Scottish Government’s investment to decarbonise passenger services across Scotland’s Railway. Fares are from £2.20 one way and the journey time is 18 minutes!

“On Sunday, 10 December, a new timetable will be introduced, which represents our commitment to delivering the best service we can and encourages more people to choose rail.
We’re dedicated to making Scotland’s Railway more accessible and efficient. We’ll be introducing electric trains between Glasgow – Barrhead and will be increasing the frequency of services on some key routes, as well as enhancing service reliability.
There is a lot of ongoing investment in Scotland’s Railway, with decarbonisation continuing and improvements across the network, and this new timetable is an important part of that.”

Superb Scottish Government investment just shows how much the English britnats in Westminster government were ripping us off with all those previous arrangements

Yet if a train is cancelled (even if its Network Rails fault) it’s big news to give the Britnatz media a stick to beat the Scottish Government with.

They would have been hoping it would develop a fault.

Westminster Tories wasted £Billions on HS2. Instead of funding railways in the North and Scotland to cut rail times. Journeys in the North and Scotland take twice as long as south. Same distance. Scotland rail services were historically underfunded by Westminster.
