Devonport dockyard operator Babcock International Plc has been criticised in Parliament after it emerged none of the Royal Navy’s attack submarines were at sea. Tory MP Mark Francois blamed the engineering giant for delayed refits and demanded ministers give Babcock bosses a dressing down.
He told the House of Commons that “Not a single one” of the UK’s attack subs were at sea a few weeks ago due to maintenance. It was reported that all six of the country’s nuclear subs were alongside, with HMS Triumph and HMS Audacious both at Devonport, and the others at Faslane.

Local MP Penny Mordaunt, above, was too busy chasing rickety rats, through the crumbling Victorian sewers of Portsmouth, to comment.
Talking-up Scotland 'Albatraz' 
It is becoming increasingly clearer each day that Ms Mordaunt is setting out her stall to be the next leader of the Conservative Party. She is on the front page of the Daily Telegraph standing in front of a large scale model of a new ferry, the livery of which includes a huge Union Flag.
The Thatcher in a tank model that Truss used has been rejected in favour of a patriotic boat. Well, she represents ‘Pompey’ – ‘splice the mainbrace’, rum, sodomy and the lash, etc.
The Telegraph has had an ill-disguised carnal fascination with Ms Mordaunt since as a new MP she took part in a dive for charity at her local swimming pool and the paper gave huge front page space to photographs of her in a swimming costume.
These public school boys like disciplinarian, tough women.

It would appear from the photograph above that Penny has more medals than there are rats in Pompey ! Imagine how many she would have acquired ( medals , not rats ) had she actually been a serving officer !

Yep I agree with previous commentator ,(Anonymous) that Mordaunt is clearly on ‘leadership’ manoeuvres…….and I would say she was adopting a Thatcherite style in her delivery which I believe is , as a style of delivery, very popular with those Tories who prefer their leader to be one who is more ‘up front’ on clearly one who intends to be openly ruthless and dismissive upon others…..like say trying to put Scotland in it’s supposed place within their fake state aka the UK.
Of course as Scotland is traditionally a NON Tory friendly country then Mordaunt thinks she can be, in her comments, overly insensitive and disrespectful in everything she says upon it as a country….of course she hides behind the weary and well used cover of citing the SNP as the fall guy in her rude comments but really it is Scotland and it’s citizens that she is attacking and targeting……when push comes to shove if there is NO real gains to be made at the ballot box then she assumes she can go as far as she likes in her offensive and unwarranted attacks.
Pity then that her own party has #Failed so spectacularly as a government considered as one who has been very incompetent and too lacking focus in governing the failed state aka the UK (and whose other remit is England where they, the Tories, are failing as well in NOT doing the ‘Day job well or properly’)……
Mordaunt , like other Tories, fall under the category of those who CAN’T really DO the job they are supposed to do but place themselves in the ludicrous position of thinking that they can TEACH others how to do the job properly (that CLEARLY, via evidence, they the Tories themselves cannot do) …..as in preaching to others like say the SNP on what they, as Tories, identify as their failures as a Scottish government while ignoring their own many TORY failures as THE governing party in the UK …….which aptly, I think, falls under the description of Glass House Politics…….

One of my favourite things is watching her roast the SNP at Westminster. Dreary Brock is a shining example of their incompetence. Brave though. She keeps coming back for more despite getting a slapping every time.
