The Herald has covered the story, just (above) but it’s getting no coverage at all on the front pages anywhere else in the MSM on the day when the date for the Rutherglen & Hamilton West by-election might be announced.
Just as the bullying, misogynistic and child grooming Labour politicians are being kept off BBC Scotland reports [https://talkingupscotlandtwo.com/2023/09/02/the-the-bully-and-the-child-groomer-bbc-scotland-shield-labour-in-run-up-to-by-election/] and the schisms and pathetic u-turning by Scottish Labour [https://www.politico.eu/article/all-of-keir-starmers-u-turns-in-one-place/] are being hidden, so this positive news about the SNP candidate is being ignored and downplayed.
The SNP candidate vying to become the next MP for Rutherglen and Hamilton West has pledged to table plans to abolish the two-child benefit cap and rape clause within the first 100 days of becoming elected.

My husband has a friend who votes Labour….when there was a bin strike In Edinburgh last year he, my husband’s friend, started to slate the SNP as he assumed via last Scottish council elections result, that they were in charge as the council in Edinburgh, my husband then told him what had happened in Edinburgh and that Labour , with the aid of other parties, had taken over (seized control)…..he didn’t believe him…as he had NOT heard or read anything about it…..when they got to the pub….my husband’s other friend confirmed this to be the case to the Labour voting friend….so yes when NEWS “Gets NO coverage” then voters are oblivious to what’s really going on via the ‘News where WE are’……
So the clandestine side of the media also plays a part as well as the ‘dis and mis’ information side…..and that, in many instances, is what stops people voting SNP and instead voting for OTHER political parties ……as ignorance of facts can do the job that the media (deliberately)are clearly failing to do in Scotland…..in them NOT reporting what has and is happening via ALL political parties…..
