Scottish Labour councillor grooms children in run up to a by-election – BBC Scotland apply purdah rules and hide it

Only in the National today:

A SENIOR Scottish Labour councillor has been arrested and charged in relation to alleged child grooming offences.

Anas Sarwar’s party has suspended David Graham, a senior figure on Fife Council who sat on the cabinet, while the police probe is ongoing.

Graham, 41, is a councillor for Buckhaven, Methil and Wemyss villages and Fife’s representative at Cosla.

He is also appointed as a non-executive director on the board of NHS Fife.

The story is nowhere on BBC Scotland or on any of the national newspaper front pages.

Even though the date for the Rutherglen and Hamilton West by-election has yet to be confirmed, are they using the purdah rule already to protect Labour, again?

The pre-election period, previously known as ‘purdah’, describes the period of time immediately before elections or referendums when specific restrictions on communications activity are in place. The term ‘heightened sensitivity’ is also used.

BBC Scotland do like to protect a Labour councillor if they can. In 2016:

You have to read on to find out he’s Labour.

While we’re on Labour grooming, tragic parents this time:

      1. Not seen it on front pages of the daily right wing comics yet. A wee mention on BBC website at lunchtime is nothing in comparison to the hounding of and publicity given to the slightest snifter of a misdemeanor by any in SNP. Trial by media only applies to the SNP. The so called main media have the SNP politicians on trial 24/7.
