Conviction for female genital mutilation (FGM): FOI release finds no cases

Perhaps not too surprising, this Freedom of Information request finding, published today, is not being reported:

Information requested

The total amount of individuals convicted in Scotland, since records began, for forced female genital mutilation, attempted forced female genital mutilation or/and female genital mutilation.

Response

Offences of female genital mutilation etc., are prosecuted in Scotland under the Prohibition of Female Genital Mutilation (Scotland) Act 2005. The latest available information from the Scottish Government Criminal Proceedings database is for 2020-21 and shows there have been no people convicted in Scottish courts for offences under this Act.

    1. Very good question – the link to the website does not say. I’d be intrested to know who requested this so we can understand if there was a genuine reason.

  1. Different demographics. More hysteria invented by the MSM and over publicised.

UK Gov Westminster unionists spend £1000Billion a year. Fund the NHS £125Billion.A paltry sum. The same as in 2010. It has not increased in 13 years. Despite the increased population. Austerity.

Spent £270Billion over two years on Covid. £370Billion over a life time. (Borrowed). Poor pandemic planning. Much of it was wasted on useless PPE etc. contracts not given the proper scrutiny. Often to associates making monies out of improper scrutiny of Gov Contracts. Pocketing the illegal gains. £Billions.

UK Gov whole accounts 20/21. July 2023. On the internet.

  2. Pontification about women’s rights. Women who cohabit (the majority) do not have equal rights. Women and children have to stay in abusive, unsafe places because they do not have equal rights. They have to put in a claim within a year (1/3). It can take years and costs £thousands. There is little legal aid it has to be paid back in any case. Or can lose the roof over their head. Abused and mistreated.

Letting agency (lawyers) illegally demanding 6months rent and deposit even to women with good credit.

Politicians pontificating about women’s rights. A good saliver. Actions speak better than words. Change the Law so women have equal rights and less will be abused. Obviously to sort it out. Instead of havering. Catch up with the 21st century. Lagging. Behind. Women could get away if they has equal rights. Without losing the roof over their heads. Do something about it. Too simple? The monies wasted on (malicious or false} complaint.

Instead of bring in a Domestic Abuse Law 2016 that cannot be dropped or appealed. The Police not following the procedures and arresting abused women and frail individuals dragging them through Court. Found innocent. Costing £Billions which could be better spent.

A total waste of thing and monies. Going to people’s doors and arresting and handcuffing them illegally. Without telling them what is the complaint. Anyone can make an untrue malicious complaint. The Police arresting innocent people without following procedures and investigating properly. Acting illegally. It can and does happen to anyone.

The experience Police staff left after Westminster unionist muck up their pensions. Young without experience now not properly trained and following procedure.properly. Those at the top duty, is to train staff to follow procedures properly, without of wasting £Billions of public money. Or clearing off with a £Million+ pension fund. Leaving the mess behind.
