Nurses seeking work overseas barely grows from 0.45% to 0.9% of the more than 65 000

In classic ‘scare the old folk with infantile maths‘ style, the Scotsman detects soaring numbers but S4 statistics pupils chorus ‘Daaad…that is so insignificant….let me sleep.‘

There are more than 65 000 nurses in Scotland.

The Scotsman’s 583 applying for jobs overseas last year is 0.89%, less than 1 in a 100.

Two years ago they tell us, it was half, say 292, 0.45%.

Really, how are we doing relatively speaking, for nurses? From 2021:

  1. No wonder no one reads the Scotsman. The parent company up for sale. Loaded with debts. Redundant ‘staff’. Printing nonsense endlessly.

    MSM full of regurgitated nonsense. Murdoch facing debts. Sued left right and centre. Losing revenues faster than a sieve loses water. The structure disintegrated. Trying to keep a lid on it. Keel over soon.

    Readership falling and falling. How low can they go? Especially like the Tories. Down and down and out. Time is running out. Especially in Scotland. Comics have a higher readership. At lest they are humorous. The Scotsman press a joke.

    People get information on the internet. Reporting and lies, easy to check out.

So The Scotsman is not trying to ‘cook the books’ on these figures but instead choosing to ‘burn the books’ so that they can then try to obscure or destroy the actual evidence …….wonder why they chose their way to present these figures as opposed to yours….I say I wonder…but I really don’t….and the headline chosen on the FRONT page by them is yet another classic example of a tabloid tactic where the substance and (in)significant factor(s) in this (non) story bears no actual reality or connection to the sensationalism the headline is SCREAMING out….

    it’s all doom and gloom when it’s in reference to the SCOTTISH connection via , ironically, a newspaper called THE SCOTSMAN ……surely a classic example of their paper title being one that is ‘IN NAME ONLY’ ……….they certainly give The Daily Express , The Sun and The Daily Mail a run for their money do they not as far as them being considered one’s , who we could include among one of those ‘newspapers’ , as one’s now within the stable that is referred to as THE GUTTER PRESS ….indeed their conversion to becoming tabloid size from their former broadsheet size many years ago …..was a conversion in more ways than ONE….based on both their headlines and too the bulk of the content within their so called ‘News’ paper…..

    We do not really get BREAKING NEWS with the UK media but instead we get BROKEN NEWS……though much of it, as in news via them regarding Scotland, is often driven by their quest to stop their UK from BREAKING UP…..
