CalMac ferries back at 99% reliability and 100% in 4 out of 5 regions

Yesterday on a busy Saturday, CalMac operated 100% of sailings in all but the Inner Hebrides where reliability was only 99% (98.6).

Out of 523 sailings, only 3 were cancelled.

The single sailing from Ardrossan to Campbelltown, on the mainland, was cancelled.

One of the 21 Oban to Craignure sailings and 1 of 4 Oban to Colle/Tiree sailings were cancelled.

Brittany Ferries are at 100% today but have cancelled 1 of only 7 sailings (Plymouth to Roscoff) for Tuesday and Wednesday. The people of the Brittany, dependent on tourism, will have no connections with the UK for at least two days and many have threatened to move to British Columbia (BC).

BC Ferries commuters say getting to work is nerve-wracking amid cancellations, delays:

The people of Vancouver Island BC are threatening to move back to the land of their ancestors – Scotland – just to get a better ferry service.

  1. City News Vancouver ” BC Ferries commuters say getting to work is nerve-wracking amid cancellations, delays ” – Victoria, Vancouver Island population 864,000
BBC Scotland News Glasgow “Lochboisdale ferry cancellation has left islanders ‘beyond crisis'” – Lochboisdale, South Uist, population 1,800….

There is no chance “The people of Vancouver Island BC are threatening to move back to the land of their ancestors – Scotland – just to get a better ferry service”, the Tory and bent media machine they know about.

Taking two buses (or one bus and the underground) from my home to Pollokshaws East and back over many years had the same effect on me.

  2. Sorry, but I am sure that BBC Scotland said that the good people on the islands were being forced to eat seaweed and hunt for seabird eggs even on the Sabbath due to the CalMac crisis.

I mean BBC Scotland would not make up such blatant lies would they?
