If with a waiting list the children are still getting help. Specialist Doctors are diagnosing people. Adults as well. The waiting time is approx 6 months with the Covid circumstances. There is still a lot of help and back up. Even before people are different are diagnosed. Schools are getting extra funding to help children with additional needs. Idenified by trained professional. Children with additional needs are being given additional support. Nurture/nature practitioners are being employed to do structure learning with additional needs children etc. Help with their feeling and how to cope in overwhelming situation. They need a quiet, secure place to unwind. Have less meltdowns which can be perceived as being angry or disrupted because of lack of knowledge. All teaching professionals need advice for dealing with those on the spectrum. 20% of the population. With additional understanding support their talents can be genius.
Councils employ too many untrained classroom assistants instead of teachers. Keeping class sizes down. The statuary limit 30 pupils per class should be lowered to keep class sizes down. The councils would have to employ more teachers instead of untrained classroom assistants. Stressing out the teachers. It needs more information on diversity knowledge in the whole society. The diverse pupils are not naughty they are overwhelmed and can refuse to go to school. It being too stressful for them. Noisy and stressful making them anxious when they already suffer from anxiety and insecurity. Many manageable changes can achieve better outcomes. Education funding is now ring fenced by the Scottish Gov. It has to be spent on education.
eg if extended nursery funding is not taken up by users. It still has to fund education. Not be diverted. Education is funded by all pupils allocated an amount. Then extra funding for deprived school areas. Extra funding for additional needs pupils. The Gov education department knows all the statistics. Of children born and their birth date. The (unionist) councils would try to divert funding but it is ring fenced,

The greatest danger to child and adolescent mental health in Scotland is Tsunami Baillie, Dr Slick Gulhane and whoever is left of the Cole-Hamilton Jazz Quartet, one of whom will be along directly with the cherry-picked exception to the stat, suitably amplified by HMS James Cook complete with ham-dram emotional interview conducted by a professional with voiceover script from the Scotland Office…
On a less flippant note, I’m increasingly troubled by the use of stats as a measure of anything other than as an information tool to management, and by that I mean DIRECT management.
– Neither the NHS generally nor the mental health discipline specifically are steady state processes, yet they are discussed by media and politicians as if they were/are.
eg – Does Glenn Campbell schedule his mental breakdown for a particular day or does it just happen ?
