Too busy with the SNP audit, BBC Scotland had no time to tell you what BBC UK, Wales and BBC Business had:
Train strikes: How drivers’ walkout on Wednesday will affect you
Which train operators will be affected on Wednesday?
The following operators will be affected:
- Avanti West Coast
- Chiltern Railways
- CrossCountry
- East Midlands Railway
- Great Western Railway
- Greater Anglia
- Great Northern Thameslink
- Govia Thameslink Railway
- London North Eastern Railway
- Northern Trains
- Southeastern
- Southern/ Gatwick Express
- SWR depot drivers
- SWR Island Line
- TransPennine Express
- West Midlands Trains
Although the affected train operators are based in England, some of their services run into Wales and Scotland so journeys to those areas will also be disrupted.
Operators not listed above, for example Scotrail and Hull Trains, are not affected by strike action. But some train companies not on strike could be busy.

BBC Scotland’s Glen Campbell asked a typical commuter, wearing a Rangers scarf, in Queen Street today, what he thought:
“Busy? BUSY? My train busy!!?? It’s not good enough! Yousaf must go!”

Sorry about being O/T but is this real what a deal.

BEEB North Britshire too interested in “ferries” to worry about the failures of English governance.
Glenn, Juan, Tom and Co would find fault with free fivers being handed out by a mad billionaire–unless they had the Kings head on them!

You can tell BBC Scotland are in a huff that ScotRail are not on strike! They actually still expect us to pay for this guff as well!
Meanwhile here’s another ferry story..

On another note , I’ve just received an email from scottishcensus saying they will begin issuing information from the 2022 Scottish census in the autumn of 2023 ?
Now I think that is weird why so coy just publish the whole thing but no they are asking people what kind of information they would like ?
Excuse me but I’d like it all we as taxpayers pay you for collecting it on our behalf
Why so secretive
Is there information in it you don’t want us to know
For example the massive influx of people from England are they saying they are English or hiding behind “British”
Will you tell us openly and honestly

For goodness sake – the output of a modern day census is not just one ginormous digital database which the general public is given to interrogate.
There is a schedule for release of data, including cuts of data for particular topics or themes. For example, the release schedule for the England/Wales 2021 census spans at least 18 months.
The ONS consulted on the public interests and thematic outputs from the England/Wales census.
See https://consultations.ons.gov.uk/external-affairs/census-2021-outputs-consultation/
Do you have any other ‘evidence’ of an intention to be ‘secretive’, an intent to be less than ‘honest’ in the release of the Scottish census data?
